Rice Agro-ecosystem and Environmental Research RAER is a cross-sector research group focusing on the complex dynamics that characterise rice cropping systems in a changing environment.

RAER is an intra-departmental, cross-sector research group within the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (DiSAFA) of the University of Turin, focusing on the complex dynamics that characterise rice cropping systems in a changing environment. Process- and system understanding of the functioning of rice agro-ecosystems requires a wide range of research disciplines. Based on such a

multidisciplinary approach, RAER’s research and education programmes aim at bringing together expertise to provide essential knowledge on how global food security, safety and quality can be attained in rice agro-ecosystems while achieving sustainable use of limited natural resources.
