On Wednesday, June 3, our DP1 students presented their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition, a key component of the IB Diploma Programme. 🌍💭📚

The TOK Exhibition invites students to explore how knowledge is constructed, questioned, and shared by connecting real-world objects to one of the course’s central knowledge questions. Through their presentations, students demonstrated critical thinking, curiosity, and the ability to reflect on the relationship between knowledge and everyday life.

The exhibition showcased a wide range of perspectives and personal insights, highlighting the depth of thought and engagement that characterize the TOK journey.

Congratulations to all our DP1 students for their thoughtful and inspiring work! 👏✨

What better way to celebrate the last day of school than by giving back to the community and having fun together? 🌿☀️

Our MYP1 students spent their final school day helping to clean and care for the beautiful surroundings of Villa Croce, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and community spirit. ♻️💚

After their hard work, it was time for some fun on the field with an exciting introduction to cricket, made possible thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of Prof. Mark Ebury. 🏏👏

A perfect end to a year filled with learning, growth, friendship, and new experiences. Wishing all our students a wonderful summer break! 🌞✨

Today, June 4, the awards ceremony for the poems written by MYP5 students in collaboration with AISM – the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association , took place at Palazzo Spinola . 🏛️📖✨

The event provided an opportunity for dialogue between art, education, and civil society, and marked the conclusion of a year-long project during which students reflected on multiple sclerosis by exploring connections between its invisible symptoms and selected artworks from the Palazzo Reale Museum. 🎨🤝

A panel chaired by Enrica Marcenaro , journalist and director of the International Literature Festival of Palazzo Ducale, presented awards to the following students:

• Virginia Rossi Monarca Cimaschi (First Prize)
• Emma Bartolini (Second Prize)
• Riana Constantinescu (Third Prize)
• Bianca Ginevra Isola (Special Mention)
• Federico De Martini (Special Mention)
• Camilla Berardi (Special Mention)

👓🤝 Representatives from the Lions International, Santo Durelli and Aldo Brunelli, came to DIS today to pick-up our collection of glasses as well as lottery tickets and associated donations. The glasses will be repaired and restored, then sent to those in need, while the lottery tickets will be entered into the draw for the Fondazione Melvin Jones Banca degli Occhi Prize Lottery 🎟️🎁, all in aid of helping this association in their noble aim. 💙✨

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👓 Students and families from DIS have supplied numerous pairs of glasses while PYP5, MYP1-3 sold tickets for the lottery. 🎟️ These tickets can still be purchased until the 10th June (the Prize Draw is on the 19th June) 📅 and any students who have sold, or unsold, tickets at home need to bring them to school in the next day or two. As for old glasses 👓, we have repositioned the box and will continue to collect them so that more and more people in need can be helped. ❤️

🙏 Thanks to everyone involved!

🍰✨ A sweet day of learning and fun!✨🍰

Today, our PYP4 students had the wonderful opportunity to visit the laboratories of Pasticceria Tagliafico once again. This special experience has become a cherished tradition for the past three years, and one that our students always look forward to!

Working alongside professional pastry chefs, the children learned how to make delicious muffins, developing new skills while having fun, asking questions, and exploring the art of baking. 🧁👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The highlight of the visit? Enjoying their freshly baked creations together during a delightful snack time! 💛

A big thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and for making this hands-on learning experience so memorable year after year.

✨👏We are proud of our student Marta Elisabetta Floro, who was recognized by our Mayor Silvia Salis during the event “Libere di scegliere”, held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of women’s right to vote, and organized by the Equal Opportunities Councillor Rita Bruzzone. A meaningful milestone towards active and informed citizenship.

Our PYP4 students explored the streets of Genoa following the traces of a story we had read together in class 📚✨

Walking through palaces, alleyways, paintings, and hidden corners of the city, we tried to imagine life in sixteenth-century Genoa: merchants, noble families, and neighborhoods that no longer exist.

It was inspiring to see how history can still spark curiosity, questions, and a genuine desire to discover more. 💡🌍

Through our interview with Mark Ebury, we are introduced to the quiet beauty of Westgate — the place where his journey began — and to the timeless charm of Dover Castle, beautifully featured throughout the video. 🏰🌊

From windswept coastlines to centuries of stories carved into stone, every frame captures the atmosphere, history, and enduring fascination of these iconic places.

More than an interview, this is a journey through memory, heritage, and inspiration.
