Cancer rehabilitation asks a lot of patients. Understanding what they’re being asked to do shouldn’t be the hard part.

Ori Rehab helps people rebuild their strength after cancer treatment, from their own homes. Together, we’ve worked on bringing the platform to patients in their own language, with words and a voice they can rely on.

On November 4th, Kelly Dodds (Ori Rehab) and Diego Cresceri (Creative Words) will go live to tell the story of this project from both sides.

The riskiest translation errors aren’t the obvious ones. They’re the ones that read perfectly.

That’s what makes quality harder to check in the age of LLMs: more content, more languages, and mistakes that sound right.

Our Innovation team has been working on how to handle it: using LLMs to flag and classify errors, and deciding where linguists need to step in based on the level of risk.

What do localization leaders talk about when there's no one on stage?

We found out at 'Localization Unplugged — Voices Behind Global Growth', the unconference we co-hosted with Spotify in Milan last week. Diego Cresceri, Giulia Barbieri and Mariapaola Dell'Orto were there for Creative Words.

The conversation moved between two big themes: proving the value of localization to executives, and how AI is really being used in localization teams today. We talked about KPIs, about quality in a broader sense than language quality, about the role localization can play across departments, and about AI as a tool for strategy and decisions as well as for language workflows.

Spread across TMs, buried in PDF style guides, locked inside product docs — a single account can span thousands of source files, each hiding candidate terms that never made it into a real glossary.

In a new piece for GALA, our Innovation Manager Marta Castello breaks down a systematic pipeline for turning that mess into a structured, traceable glossary: linguistic filtering, statistical ranking, and optional AI refinement — with every merge, rename, and drop logged along the way.

Vendor management runs on process — QBRs, CV screening, vendor selection, compliance checks. And process is exactly what AI is starting to rewrite.

Our Vendor Manager, Giuseppe Malara, will be speaking about this firsthand: how to build small, replicable automations without needing an IT team behind you. He'll walk through a hands-on version of the CV anonymization workflow we use internally, rebuilt with free tools so anyone can apply it right after the session.

He'll be taking the stage in the first session of Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) Academy's new event series, "Vendor Management After the AI Wake-Up Call," alongside other professionals in the field, on September 15.
