Questa sera, come al solito prima di dormire, ho dedicato un momento per me. Quando tutti dormono, io mi rilasso, penso, leggo, studio e ascolto musica. Questa sera ho assaporato un vecchio disco di qualche anno fa, un album che sembra custodire frammenti di vita, poesie in note, immagini che prendono forma tra le parole e le melodie. Un disco pieno di emozioni. Di chi era? Di qualcuno che non aveva bisogno di apparire per essere grande.

Cantava con l'anima, regalando autenticità e lasciando un segno indelebile. È impossibile non sentire una stretta al cuore e un sorriso nostalgico affiorare sulle labbra. Certi artisti non si dimenticano, anche quando sembra che il mondo moderno li abbia messi da parte

Global Coral Reef Ecosystem Health Focus of Newly Created Scientific Resource Available for International Research

Scientists at the Whitney Laboratory are working to further our understanding of microorganisms and their relationship with cnidarians, like corals and sea anemones.

A comprehensive review was published and led by Dr. Mark McCauley, a Postdoctoral Researcher, during his time at the lab, working with Whitney's Associate Professor of Chemistry, Dr. Sandra Loesgen, and co-authors. The review analyzed approximately 6.5 billion sequence reads from marine microbiomes!

"With this database, we can provide a large amount of scientific data in one accessible location to ultimately help support ongoing and future preservation efforts of coral reef ecosystems," said Dr. Loesgen.
