Congratulations to Mascarade alum Avishka Edirisinghe on being selecting to be a Jette Parker Artist at Royal Ballet And Opera! 👏

Since being a part of Mascarade Opera in 2023/24, Avishka has held a number of positions at both Glyndebourne and Garsington Opera, working as a répétiteur, assistant chorus master and assistant conductor.

We are delighted to see him embark on this exciting new chapter and wish him every success 🎉

A sneak peek of … and a few high Cs.💫

Yesterday, we hosted the Amiata Festival press conference at our home in Florence, Palazzo Corsini al Prato, celebrating the launch of its inaugural season.

We’re especially proud to see Mascarade alumni Floriana Cicio, Lauren Young, Garrett Evers, and Charles Buttigieg take centre stage in the festival’s opening events: tonight in Anghiari and tomorrow at the Festival Gala at Forum Bertinelli in Grosseto, performing a programme of Italian favourites with Sinfonia Smith Square under the baton of Nicholas Chalmers.

The inaugural Amiata Festival also features performances from Grammy Award winner mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, rising British tenor Laurence Kilsby, and Italian baritone Luca Micheletti, promising a wonderful summer of music in the Tuscan hills. A number of Mascarade artists will join Joyce DiDonato for a special masterclass as part of the festival programme.
