Tonight, Mascarade Artists Vuyisa Xipu (Andrès, Cochenille, Frantz, and Pitichinaccio) and Benjamin Guatier (Peter Schlémil and Hermann) take the stage at Staatstheater Wiesbaden for the premiere of Les contes d’Hoffmann, alongside Mascarade alumnus Hovhannes Karapetyan (Four Villians: Lindorf, Coppélius, Dr. Miracle, and Dapertutto).

So wonderful to see our current artists and alumni shining on stage! 🧡

Oreste Cosimo sings Hoffmann, Fleuranne Brockway takes on La Muse/Nicklausse, Sophia Theodorides sings Olympia, Sarah Yang performs Antonia, and Camille Sherman sings Giulietta.

Paul Taubitz conducts this new production by Dennis Krauß.

Last night at Palazzo Corsini al Prato… 🧡

Old friends and new faces joined us for a beautiful evening celebrating the start of the Mascarade Opera season with Laurus Florentiae. Our Mascarade Artists brought the stage to life with a wonderful programme spanning Mozart, Lehár, Gershwin and Floyd.

The evening also marked the presentation of the Laurus Florentiae award, recognising artistic talent and selection for the Mascarade Opera Emerging Artists Programme. Each singer received a special Laurel of Florence pin, created by Pampaloni. With heartfelt thanks to Gianfranco Pampaloni for his support.

The opening concert of the Mascarade Opera season, Laurus Florentiae, brings together our new Mascarade Emerging Artists for an evening of operatic favourites.

Looking back at our Foundation over the past year, this is what we love most: no two evenings ever feel quite the same.

From 6pm, guests arrive at Palazzo Corsini al Prato, glass of w**e in hand, and slowly leave the everyday behind as the evening begins.

Caterina will continue performing this iconic role in Cremona, Pavia, Brescia and Bergamo throughout the season.

Mariam Suleiman makes her house debut at the Opernhaus Zürich as Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte on 20 September, marking her first premiere in Zürich as a member of the Operastudio ✨🦜🪈

Tarmo Peltokoski conducts this new production by Daniele Finzi Pasca.

The cast features Magnus Dietrich as Tamino, Regula Mühlemann as Pamina, Jasmin Delfs as the Queen of the Night, Yannick Debus as Papageno and Tobias Kehrer as Sarastro.

Wishing Mariam all the very best for her first premiere in Zürich and this exciting new chapter with the Operastudio! 🐉

✨ Toi toi toi to Talent Pathway Artist Cláudia Pereira as she takes the stage in the world premiere of Verwandlung at Theater Winterthur!

Based on Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, Verwandlung is a new opera by composer Gordon Kampe and librettist Philipp Löhle, receiving its world premiere on September 18 in Winterthur, Switzerland.

Claudia performs as part of the Käfer-Quartett with performances this season at Theater Winterthur and Staatstheater Augsburg, where the German premiere follows on October 10.
