We are proud to share that our project AGAPE has been featured among the AAL Programme Success Stories! 🎉
Led by Medea, AGAPE developed an innovative methodology to support the adoption of digital solutions in real-life care ecosystems, helping older adults, caregivers, and policymakers embrace innovation in a more effective and sustainable way.
Through user profiling, personalised coaching and ecosystem mapping, AGAPE showed that innovation truly succeeds when it starts from real needs and supports people step by step.
Being included in the AAL Programme Impact Assessment and Success Stories collection represents an important recognition of the impact we strive to create.
We will continue working to bring innovation closer to people and real-life care environments. 🚀

We are pleased to announce that on April 23rd, the Puremind project will contribute to the 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 in Brussels hosted by Health & Ageing Law Lab (HALL) leading the session: "𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆: 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑨𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝑯𝑫𝑺."
This panel proposes a policy-oriented discussion grounded in the practical experience of Puremind, which serves as a concrete use case at the intersection of 𝐄𝐇𝐃𝐒 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, and 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐛𝐲-𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 approaches.
The dialogue will focus on how EHDS principles can be operationalised in real research settings, with a specific emphasis on AI-driven medical research involving vulnerable populations, such as 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.
Using Puremind as a reference point, the panel will explore critical policy questions, including:
- Access and reuse of 𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 under EHDS rules.
- Practical approaches to 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐬 considerations.
The translation of 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 requirements into system design choices.
- The role of 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐛𝐲-𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, such as regulatory self-assessment methodologies and data transparency registries, in supporting lawful and accountable AI development.
The session will be moderated by Elena Tamburini (Medea Srl), featuring a panel of experts Nicholas Vretos (Εθνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας και Τεχνολογικής Ανάπτυξης - Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)), Koushik Maharatna (University of Southampton) and Dr Nasser Siabi OBE (Microlink) dedicated to fostering a trustworthy and transparent AI ecosystem in healthcare.

The INTEGRA Project Kick-off! 🚀
It was a pleasure to kick off the INTEGRA project in Florence, hosted by Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi. INTEGRA stands for something ambitious: Co-creation of an INnovative TR Ecosystem accessible on a GRAnd scale to persons with disabilities living in the community. As part of this 36-month EU initiative (THCS program), MEDEA is proud to provide the strategic backbone to ensure this innovation doesn't stay "on paper" but reaches those who need it most.
What does this mean in practice? Our team is dedicated to:
🔹 Innovation Management: guiding the journey from research to real-world application.
🔹 Impact Assessment: building the framework to measure the true clinical and social value of these solutions.
🔹 Proven Metrics: defining the KPIs that track real improvements in patients' lives.
Working alongside an incredible international consortium, we are committed to making high-quality rehabilitation accessible and equitable for those living with stroke, Parkinson’s, and chronic pain. 🤝
A special thanks to the team at Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi for a great start. Let's transform the future of primary care together! 🌍📈
