What an incredible night for the ISF community!
We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 180 parents, staff, and friends to our Upper School Campus, Villa Gattaia, for our inaugural Summer Social. Our Cantabile Choir set a beautiful tone for the evening, which evolved into a vibrant celebration filled with fantastic food, drinks, and plenty of dancing.
We are deeply grateful for our community's generosity: all proceeds from the event will contribute directly to the School Development Fund. Thank you for investing in our school's future while celebrating the present!

We wish all of our Grade 8 Italian Programme students the very best as they engage in their Terza Media exams.

Last Friday Grade 2 took their learning beyond the classroom with an exciting field trip to Palazzo Pitti and the Giardino di Boboli. As part of our Unit of Inquiry, Uniquely Florentine, students explored the Galleria Palatina acting as careful observers, practicing their thinking and research skills to spot details in the artwork and architecture. This experience helped students realize that the history we learn about in class is alive all around them in Florence. They beautifully connected these grand historical spaces to the contemporary city they call home today.

Next stop: Middle School!

Last Wednesday, our Grade 5 students took a huge step forward during their annual transition day at the Upper School! They got a firsthand taste of middle school life, diving into exciting sessions in science, theatre, languages, and the library and of course, experiencing the full cafeteria lunch!

A huge thank you to our amazing Middle and High School students who led many of these activities and made our Grade 5s feel so incredibly at home.

We are so proud to launch the   public art campaign at ISF! Inspired by the 2016 Michigan initiative, our community came together to celebrate what makes each of us unique and valuable.

As part of our Positive Purpose Wellbeing unit, students and staff reflected on their worth and were photographed with their personal “why.”  A huge thank you to our Upper School Art Teacher, Tess Hitchcock, for organizing this incredible project!
Launch Details: The exhibition will officially be on display this Monday at 3:30 PM at the Upper School Arts Showcase. We hope many of you will come out to view it!
