Earlier this year, Manuela Blinda joined us in Florence after receiving the Alchimia Award at AUTOR, a scholarship supporting emerging voices in contemporary jewellery through a two-week intensive course.

Coming from a practice rooted in graphics, sculpture and woodwork, Manuela approached the experience as an opportunity to explore metal as a new language within her evolving research.

During her time with us, she developed a series of pieces shaped through experimentation, technical exploration and close dialogue between concept and making.

What began years ago as a graphic investigation gradually moved into space, material and form, continuing to evolve through silver, gesture and process.

We are grateful to have shared this moment of research, exchange and experimentation together.

There is a difference between learning a technique and developing a perspective.

We believe contemporary jewellery should challenge habits, open possibilities and create space for independent thinking.

This is why we approach education as a research through materials, experimentation, dialogue and critical observation.

The goal is never replication. It is authorship.

Since completing her MFA with us in 2021, Alessia Prati has continued developing a personal practice within the field of contemporary jewellery.

This year, her work received the main award at Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest 2026 by , leading to an upcoming solo exhibition and the beginning of a collaboration with the gallery.

Her pieces were also selected for the cover of the contest’s official catalogue and presented across exhibitions between Milan and Ghemme during Milan Design Week.

We are proud to see her practice evolving within the contemporary jewellery landscape.

There is more than one way to approach jewellery.
For us, it begins with research, observation and the development of an individual perspective.

Our MFA in Contemporary Jewellery and Cultural Identity is a two-year program designed for those who want to explore jewellery as a contemporary language shaped through material exploration, critical thinking and artistic research.

After the program, graduates step into a wider creative world, shaping their own paths through exhibitions, residencies, studio practice and international collaborations in contemporary jewellery.

The program begins in September 2026.
