🎭 When I first started teaching, my whole focus was creating the perfect lesson plan.
I thought if I just had the perfect formula, teaching would be a piece of cake…

📚 I spent a fortune on How to Teach books that said “do this, do that.”

Some even suggested teachers should NEVER smile for the first term so students would take them seriously.

Oh… nooo!😱

I quickly realised it’s not about the perfect plan or teaching theories. It’s how we teach that makes the difference.

Teaching is a bit like being an orchestra conductor, trying to keep everyone playing in tune. 🎵

It’s about:

✨ How we communicate
✨ How we get students involved
✨ How we build trust
✨ How we grab their attention
✨ How we bring energy into the room

But no one really trains us for that part of teaching. And that’s so frustrating, especially when we’re doing our best.
