Italian Expression of the Day: “Non vedere l’ora”
Have you ever heard the Italian expression “non vedere l’ora”?

At first glance, it looks like it means “not being able to see the time.” But that’s not what it means!

“Non vedere l’ora” is an idiom Italians use when they are so excited or impatient for something to happen that they can’t wait any longer.

The English equivalent is: I can’t wait!
Examples:
Non vedo l’ora di partire!
I can’t wait to leave!
Non vedo l’ora di vederti! I can’t wait to see you!

Remember: Don’t translate idioms word for word. Learn their meaning instead!
