Studio Atelierista

The Studio Atelierista’s creative residency is a space for collective making.
At the intersection of knowledge and practice, practitioners from across disciplines—art, education, design, science, theory, and activism—come together to make the intangible visible.

This isn’t about individual output.
It’s about co-creating social art that transforms how we relate—to each other, and to the world.

At first, everyone came with curiosity and different expectations - some looking for tangible results, others just wanting to try something new. As the days went by, there was a shift. People became more present, more open and more connected. There was a real sense of trust building in the group. Many shared that they left feeling part of a community, more confident in using creative and embodied approaches, and with a clearer sense of what it meant to learn and create together. For some it changed the way they see teaching, collaboration and the role of the body in all of this - and they're excited to take this forward.

So many thanks to all who participated - your presence, care and openness made this what it was. Much is still quietly bubbling in the different groups. Let's stay connected and keep the thread going, wherever it leads next.

Studio Atelierista is happy to welcome the participants of the 2nd session of the + project "Empowering Educators: Enhancing Lifelong Learning in Europe through Transformative Pedagogies".

This residency invites educators, creatives and community builders to prototype pedagogies, interventions and ideas that foster meaningful connections in schools, learning spaces, communities and neighbourhoods. To change beliefs and practices, we need to reimagine learning experiences that engage not just the mind, but the heart and relationships - transforming the way we think, feel and work together.

At its core, the residency introduces Awareness-Based Design (ABD), a groundbreaking methodology that translates the intangible - emotions, relational dynamics, emergent creativity - into tangible prototypes. Through collaborative, embodied and reflective practices, participants will develop tools to support transformative learning rooted in observing the 'social field' we inhabit.

Building on the insights from the first session of the project, this Paris residency will develop these discoveries into a living prototype - one that equips educators across Europe to foster empathy, creativity and lifelong learning.

Studio Atelierista è uno spazio creativo interdisciplinare che esplora come rendere visibile l'intangibile. Per intangibile intendiamo le dinamiche interno-esterno dei campi sociali, in particolare pensieri, emozioni, felt senses e sensazioni.

Se rendiamo visibili le esperienze intangibili, diventeremo più consapevoli e le daremo un senso in un modo più fresco, il che consente la trasformazione collettiva.

Il nostro approccio attinge dal design, dalla consapevolezza incarnata e dall'educazione trasformativa. Per creare nuove conoscenze, collaboriamo con partner in campi interdisciplinari come tecnologie creative, film e fotografia e antropologia sensoriale.



Studio Atelierista is an interdisciplinary creative space exploring how to make the intangible visible. By intangible, we mean the inner-outer dynamics of social fields—in particular, thoughts, emotions, felt senses, and sensations.

If we make intangible experiences visible, we will become more aware and make sense of them in a fresher way—which permits collective transformation to take place.

Our approach draws from design, embodied awareness, and transformative education. To create new knowledge, we collaborate with partners across interdisciplinary fields such as creative technologies, film & photography and sensorial anthropology.
