Before there was Awareness, Courage, and Love, there was FAP.

Many people in the ACL community first found this work through Functional Analytic Psychotherapy — the model Dr. Mavis Tsai and the late Dr. Robert Kohlenberg developed together, and that shapes the ACL model of authentic connection and relational health.

This Thursday, Faby García, Débora Landart, and Sandra Lis Mendoza — who lead an inter-chapter FAP reading group across the ACBS Mexico-South, Argentina, and Peru chapters — are hosting Dr. Tsai for an informal conversation on how the FAP model has evolved since her and Kohlenberg's original 1991 book, what's remained constant, and where it may be headed. Manuel Tarraf will interpret into Spanish. Whether you've read the book and have questions, or you're simply curious where this all began, you're welcome.

Antes de que existieran la Conciencia (Awareness), el Coraje y el Amor, existía la FAP.

Muchas personas en la comunidad de ACL conocieron este trabajo por primera vez a través de la Psicoterapia Analítico Funcional (FAP) — el modelo que la Dra. Mavis Tsai y el difunto Dr. Robert Kohlenberg desarrollaron juntos, y que sigue dando forma al modelo de ACL de conexión auténtica y salud relacional.

Este jueves, Faby García, Débora Landart y Sandra Lis Mendoza — quienes lideran un grupo de lectura intercapítulos sobre FAP en los capítulos de ACBS México-Sur, Argentina y Perú — recibirán a la Dra. Tsai para una conversación informal sobre cómo ha evolucionado el modelo FAP desde su libro original junto con Kohlenberg en 1991, qué se ha mantenido constante y hacia dónde podría dirigirse.
