Great seminar! 🇳🇱

Had an incredible time back in Amsterdam, The Netherlands the city where I grew up and where I started my first academy before eventually moving to Hong Kong.

It was especially meaningful to return home for the first official Internal Snake Crane Wing Chun seminar of the Eternal Spring Institute.

The energy, dedication, and response from everyone who attended were truly amazing, and the feedback has been overwhelming.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who came, trained, shared their energy, and helped make this seminar such a special experience. A big thank you to Sifu Deniz Kara, Tom and Eddie for taking so good care of Kung Fu Amsterdam it’s appreciated from the heart ❤️

Amsterdam will always hold a special place in my heart. 🙏 The next Workshop is already planned for April 2027 and maybe I will make it a bigger Seminar this time instead of a workshop, info’s coming soon keep an eye on eternalspringinstitute.com.

Chiarimenti e feedback sullo Snake Crane Wing Chun!

I want to thank the whole community for the incredible support surrounding my last three videos. The response has been overwhelming. I’ve received many private messages, and I promise to answer each one as soon as I can.

Some messages have been especially touching. One person wrote:

“Sorry to have doubted your research for a while. I will make sure that will never happen again.”

That meant a great deal to me personally. However, whether people believe me or not has never been what matters. The truth does not change according to how many people accept it. Even if you stand alone as a minority of one, the truth remains the truth.

Many of you have also asked why I said in older videos that I was not part of the Snake Crane Mun, while today I clearly am.

Until my recent trip to Canada to train with Sifu Wong Kwong Lun, I was not officially part of the Snake Crane Wing Chun Mun. Although I had studied with him for a few years through videos and Zoom meetings, certain aspects of this art require hands-on correction and direct, one-on-one transmission.

During my time in Canada, I received those corrections and deeper internal teachings. Only after Sifu Wong felt confident that I could preserve and transmit the art as he learned it from Law Chiu Wing during the 1960s and early 1970s did he give me permission to join his Snake Crane Wing Chun Mun and spread the art through the Eternal Spring Institute.

For me, this is about lineage, responsibility, preservation, and transmitting the art faithfully.

I am deeply grateful to Sifu Wong Kwong Lun for his trust and guidance.

And to everyone who has supported, questioned, challenged, or encouraged me thank you. Your messages mean more than you may realize.

More to come. 🙏

Sometimes, things simply need time before they are fully understood and accepted by the majority.

The realisation that the Secret Note, recorded by Law Tai Wan in 1890, is genuine and authentic was not only a shock for me personally, but also something that naturally faced resistance from parts of the Wing Chun community.

But the tides are turning.

I want to sincerely thank everyone in the Wing Chun community for the incredible support surrounding my last two videos, in which I interviewed Sifu Wong Kwong Lun. These are, without doubt, two of the most important videos I have ever published on my channel. I believe that, in the years to come, people will understand even more clearly just how significant those interviews were.

Today, I present another bombshell interview, this time with a Sifu from another lineage, connected to both Sum Nung Wing Chun and Mai Gei Wong Wing Chun.

Sifu Wong holds important positions within the Guangzhou Wing Chun community. He is the Sihing of Wong Nim Yi, the son of Mai Gei Wong, and a direct student of the late Grandmaster Sum Nung, successor to Yuen Kay San.

Please listen carefully to what he has to say.

At this point, I will simply rest my case.

More and more people are beginning to realise that what I have been saying all along deserves serious consideration. For that, I am genuinely grateful.

I have always believed that, in the end, the truth will always find its way to the surface.

Energia Jing davvero rara nel Wing Chun, finalmente è stata trovata!!

THE PART MOST PEOPLE WILL MISS

Part 1 introduced the story.

Part 2 goes deeper.

This is the more important part of the interview and it contains material you simply cannot get from a short introduction.

In Part 2, Sifu Wong Kwong Lun shares more unique footage of the art, deeper information about the transmission, and details that bring the history and practice of Snake Crane Wing Chun into much greater focus.

Some of what is shown and discussed here may challenge what you already believe about Wing Chun.

That is exactly why I ask you to watch it carefully.

And then watch it again.

There are details, movements and pieces of information that are easy to miss the first time.

This is not a video to watch once and scroll past.

It is documentation.

It is testimony.

And for anyone genuinely interested in the history and preservation of Wing Chun, Part 2 may be the most important record in this series.

Don’t watch it looking for something that confirms what you already know.

Watch it with an open mind.

Listen.

Look closely.

And come back to it a second time.

Because years from now, we may understand the significance of this footage very differently.

Buona visione!

THE INTERVIEW PEOPLE WILL UNDERSTAND YEARS FROM NOW

Right now, most people simply cannot understand the significance of this interview.

And perhaps that is exactly why it matters.

I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Sifu Wong Kwong Lun of Snake Crane Wing Chun for a two-part interview.

This is not simply another conversation about Wing Chun.

It is a piece of living martial arts history.

One of the reasons this lineage has remained so little known is that it was traditionally a Mun, a closed-door family transmission rather than a Pai, an openly propagated martial arts school. Knowledge was guarded, transmitted selectively, and kept within a very small circle.

The lineage also left Foshan in 1943, when Law Ting Chau left Foshan for Hong Kong. From that point onward, much of this knowledge continued outside the public eye.

And then there is the Secret Note.

The material recorded by Law Tai Wan in 1890 has been surrounded by controversy, questions and competing interpretations for many years. Precisely because of this, it is important to distinguish between internet claims and serious historical research.

In recent years, important work has been undertaken through the research team of Miss Cheung Suet Lin, connected with the Intangible Cultural Heritage protection programme of the Foshan Museum, alongside other historical research and documentation.

And this two-part interview is another important piece of that larger puzzle.

What makes this conversation particularly significant is that we are not simply discussing forms or techniques.

We are discussing lineage, transmission, history, preservation and the future of knowledge that was never intended to be publicly available.

And I believe there is another reason why this will be difficult for some people to understand.

It challenges the established story.

When you have spent decades believing that you already know where Wing Chun came from, discovering evidence of an older, closed-door transmission can be uncomfortable.

The ego will want to reject it.

But history does not care about our egos.

The evidence must be examined.

That is why I am documenting this now.

Not to win an argument.

Not to attack another lineage.

But because the people who actually carried this knowledge are getting older, and if we do not document their testimony, parts of this history may disappear forever.

Five years from now, people may understand this differently.

Ten years from now, they may look back at this interview and realise that they were witnessing something far more important than they understood at the time.

And perhaps one day, people will realise that this was not simply an interview.

It was a historical record of a transmission taking place.

This is Part 1 of 2.

Watch it with an open mind.

Listen carefully.

And don’t judge it through what you already believe.

Judge it through what is actually being said.

Because sometimes history does not announce itself.

Sometimes it simply sits down in front of a camera…

and tells you its story.

11/08/2026

Tutto è accaduto esattamente come doveva accadere.

(Jiǔ Gōng Bù) — “Passo dei Nove Palazzi”, basato sul tradizionale schema direzionale a nove griglie.

Coraggio, pace e amore a tutti.

Sifu Sergio Pascal Iadarola
CEO dell’Eternal Spring Institute
Co-fondatore della Weng Chun & Fujian White Crane Association Hong Kong

After another week of intensive training here in Shanghai focusing on the indepth details of the fast form also known as the usage frame, I want to emphasise something.

The cultivation of Shen, Yi, and Qi is not limited to one single curriculum or lineage and is and will always be the most important part of Taijiquan for me. Having said that Just as in Wing Chun, my journey in Taijiquan has always been one of deep research, practice, and respect for multiple traditions.

After studying the Huang Sheng Shyan Taijiquan& Fujian White Crane hybrid system, I delved deeply into the Tian Zhaolin lineage in Shanghai. I eventually received the certificate of completion of the entire unarmed Tian Zhaolin lineage directly from Tian Zhaolin’s grandson, Tian Bing Yuan.

My next goal was to go deeper into the teachings connected to Yang Shao Hou, and especially Yang Ban Hou, since the Yang Jian Hou material was already extensively preserved within the Tian family curriculum.

This path let me to a 10 years study with Sifu Tam Maan Yin and eventually led me to Guiyang, where I began studying the Gu Lisheng lineage. Even after the passing of Sifu Qi Qisheng, I continue these studies in a lighter way online with some of his senior students.

Decades ago, one of my Taijiquan colleagues in Amsterdam, Sifu Henny Eleonora, once told me:

“Wu style is Old Style Yang.”

Those words stayed with me.

After researching the Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai Wu lineages, it became very clear to me which path I needed to follow.

Now over the last years organizing several events at the Eternal Spring Institute with Sifu Zhou Zhong Fu and after receiving private lessons to deeply explore the Wu curriculum in Shanghai, Istanbul, and Madeira, it has become clear to me that none of this was coincidence. Everything happened exactly as it was supposed to.

The systematic Wu Taijiquan curriculum of Ma Yueh Liang preserves an incredible amount of Old Yang Style material in a profoundly complete way. Had I not studied the Tian Zhaolin curriculum so deeply beforehand, I would never have fully appreciated what was preserved within it.

Even the ancient 7 stepping methods used in 13 unique Tui Shou cycles are preserved in Such a detailed Indepth way. Two of those stepping methods I had learned before but were missing some important details regarding close body kicks and sweeps.

(Jiǔ Gōng Bù) — “Nine Palace Step,” based on the traditional nine-grid directional pattern.

(Qī Xīng Bù) — “Seven Star Step,” a compact guarding stepping method connected to seven-point alignment.
It’s wonderful that because of the detailed transmission it’s all still so well preserved within the Shanghai branch of the Ma Yueh Liang Wu Taijiquan curriculum.

All of the unique stepping patterns of old Yang Taijiquan remain preserved there in their entirety and I will do my utmost best to help preserve the complete curriculum through the efforts of the Eternal Spring institute.

Combined with the correct internal development, makes the Shanghai branch of Ma Yueh Liang Wu Taijiquan the Taijiquan curriculum of choice for the Eternal Spring Institute.

The deeper I go into the curriculum of these arts, the more I understand that true knowledge comes from keeping an open mind, respecting the past, and never limiting oneself to a single perspective.

Courage, peace, and love to all.
