The Borgo Cooking School offers a whole range of courses from basic cooking classes for beginners to more complex gourmet master-classes for serious cooks.

Directed by Michelin-starred Chef Andrea Mattei, The Borgo Santo Pietro Cooking School sits in the heart of the Tuscan countryside surrounded by organic farmland, vineyards, olive groves and vegetable gardens. A purpose built gastronomic-center for Tuscan cooking, The Borgo Cooking School offers a whole range of courses from basic cooking classes for beginners to more complex gourmet master-classes for serious cooks. The school's "Farm to Plate” food philosophy means there is primarily a focus on the natural ingredients in the kitchen gardens and orchards of Borgo Santo Pietro and their textures, aromas and tastes.

Food preservation is an important part of farm living at Borgo and a basic skill that is shared with the community to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Our new Fermentation Lab not only utilises the surplus of vegetables and herbs from our 2-acre vegetable garden, but also teaches guests the art of fermentation through food preparation courses and serves a creative menu of fermented dishes to be enjoyed within the vegetable garden.
