Our Welcome Back Brunch was a wonderful opportunity to bring together new and returning families, teachers, and staff for a morning of connection, conversation, and community.

From welcoming new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones to sharing stories over delicious food, it was a beautiful way to celebrate the start of a new school year together.

Over the summer holidays, our Chemistry and Biology laboratories underwent an exciting renovation and modernisation project — transforming these spaces into brighter, more inspiring and better-equipped environments for learning and discovery. 🔬🌱

Our newly refurbished laboratories will provide students with enhanced opportunities to experiment, investigate, collaborate and bring scientific concepts to life, supporting both their academic development and their curiosity about the world around them.

A special thank you to our Operations Manager, Mr. Gianluca Collu, for leading this project and turning our vision for modern, inspiring learning spaces into reality!

Before the classrooms filled with curious minds, before the first lessons and new friendships, there was a special day dedicated to welcoming our newest members of the community. 💛

Our orientation brought families and students together for a first look at campus, an opportunity to meet teachers, connect with our PTA, discover transport services with Nuova Benese Autolinee, and even enjoy a taste of what our cafeteria team had prepared for the year ahead! 🍎🚍🍽️

Now, as we settle into the second week of school, we’re taking a moment to look back on this wonderful beginning. What a joy to see our community growing and coming together! ✨

We are proud to celebrate Ms. Jennifer Hahn, our MYP Science and DP Biology Teacher and Sustainability Projects & Learning Leader, on completing the GEV (Guardie Ecologiche Volontarie) course, offered by the Region of Piedmont and the Città Metropolitana di Torino.

From March to June 2026, Ms. Hahn completed 90 hours of training covering environmental legislation, local biodiversity and ecological awareness, achieving high marks in both her written and oral examinations. She will now begin the field-training phase, with the goal of becoming a fully certified volunteer by 2027.

For us, achievements like this are about more than professional development. Ms. Hahn’s growing expertise and first-hand engagement with environmental protection bring valuable perspectives into her classroom and projects, helping students connect scientific concepts with real-world environmental challenges and understand the importance of taking action to protect the world around them.

We believe that when teachers continue to learn, explore and grow beyond school, their students benefit too. 🌍💚

Last week, our Primary families came together for the Primary Meet the Teachers, an opportunity for parents to meet their children’s teachers, get to know the people who will guide and support them throughout the year, and begin building a strong partnership between home and school.

These moments matter. When families and teachers connect, we create a stronger community around every child — one built on communication, trust and collaboration. ✨

This Tuesday, September 1, marked the beginning of a new school year at IST, and it was wonderful to see our community come together once again!

From the excitement of students returning to campus to the first conversations and connections of the year, there was a wonderful energy throughout the school. It was especially lovely to welcome new families and reconnect with familiar faces. 💫
