The Department of Horticultural Sciences is pleased to announce a faculty-led study abroad in Italy at the Texas A&M Santa Chiara Study Center.

The Texas A&M Santa Chiara Study Center, located in the beautiful Tuscany region of Italy, provides the perfect central location for students to interact with the Italian culture and experience the country’s rich history, art and architecture. One course will introduce students to the archaeology of ancient Rome and Italy from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. The other course will teach stude

nts about popular and lesser known horticultural commodities and how geography, culture, politics, and history play a role in influencing what most of us eat every day.
