It's important because work or business is the context where strangers meet and have the opportunity to build new communities instead of exacerbating conflict and divergence. Research suggests that:
informal relationships --> risk of opportunism --> if success --> trust --> solidarity (providing help to those who need it)

What happens to *solidarity* between professionals if everybody wants to partner with the mostly skilled ones?
