We know many of you have been waiting for this moment, and we are excited to announce that applications for the 2027 edition of the Winter School on Federalism and Governance are now OPEN!

The 2027 edition of the Winter School will take place between 1 and 12 February 2027 at the Universität Innsbruck (Austria) and the Institute for Comparative Federalism - Eurac Research in Bolzano/Bozen (Italy).

The topic for 2027 is “Federalism and the Changing World Order” with participants having the opportunity to explore constitutional resilience in multilevel systems, federalism and collective security alliances, democratic backsliding and authoritarian tendencies, as well as the impact of global crises and geopolitical power shifts on federal and multilevel governance.

Am Tag der Autonomie, 5. September, sind die Digitalisierung und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Autonomie im Fokus einer Tagung im Palais Widmann, Bozen gestanden.

Con la moderazione di Francesco Palermo, sul palco si sono alternati Peter Bußjäger, Esther Happacher, Walter Obwexer e Philipp Rossi (Università di Innsbruck), insieme alle nostre ricercatrici Sara Parolari e Carolin Zwilling, ed hanno utilizzato casi studio per mostrare come le regioni possono mantenere ed espandere la propria autonomia nell'era digitale.

Hervorgehoben wurde die Euregio Tirol-Südtirol-Trentino als Plattform für grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit.

Bei der Tagung der Autonomie 2024 wurde die Forschung "DigiImpact – Digitalisierung und Autonomie Südtirols" vorgestellt.
