Call for applications Almacert 2026

Call for applications for a grant toward fees for international language certificates awarded between 07/11/2025 - 15/09/2026.

The grant consists of a contribution towards the exam to obtain one of the international language certificates listed in the table in Annex 1 to this Call.

The amount of the grant (€150, €200 or €250) is given in the same table. Contributions will be granted until the allocated fund is fully
exhausted.

Deadline for applications: 15/09/2026 at 1 PM

Call for applications for subsidies to purchase annual TPER passes for the a.y. 2026/27

TPER S.p.A. and Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna have entered into an agreement to help students purchase travel passes for use on urban and suburban public transport.

In particular, TPER grants students of the University of Bologna discounted rates on annual urban and extra‑urban public
transport passes.

The University of Bologna will provide a further grant to a maximum of 4000 students selected through this call for applications who will be able to purchase the abovementioned travel pass with a discount of € 100.

The deadline for applying is 24/09/2026 at 3 p.m.

Call for applications for the award of grants to students in difficult circumstances

Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna has issued a call for applications for the award of no. 327 grants, amounting to €2,000.00 each, to assist students enrolled at the University of Bologna for the a.y. 2025/2026, who are experiencing particular personal, family and economic hardship such as to jeopardise the continuation of their studies.

Deadline for applying is 8 September 2026 at 12:00 noon

Call for applications for MUR grants to cover accommodation costs for students living away from home for the a.y. 2025/2026

To take part in this competition, you must be enrolled for the a.y. 2025/2026 in a degree programme at the University of Bologna and be up to date with the payment of any student fees.

Those who have obtained their degree for the a.y. 2025/2026 before the deadline for applications may also participate.

Deadline for applying: 24/07/2026 - 3 p.m.

Localization for economic access and sustainable development

As part of the TNE mobility programme, we will be hosting two lecturers from the University of Rosario and Stellenbosch University, who will be giving lectures open to everyone, and in particular to our PhD students.

On Thursday, June 12th, from 3 to 4 pm, Professor Kim Wallmach of Stellenbosch University, South Africa, will give a lecture on the following topic:

Localization for economic access and sustainable development.

Multilingual communication in the labour market: challenges for the digital society and language professionals

On Thursday, June 11th, from 4 to 5.30 p.m. there will be an online round-table dedicated to the challenges of the digital society and professionals in the language sector, with the participation of:

Mariangela Mincione, Mincione edizioni
Andrea D’Addio, Berlin Italian Communication
Katia Sandri, Azienda Agricola Biologica
Roberto Museo, Responsabile Organizzativo e Risorse Umane

The event will be held in Italian and will involve a debate on the professional profiles and skills sought by the participating companies and offered by the degree programme in Language, Society and Communication.

Students attending the event will be able to ask questions related to the topics discussed.

Esonero per chi ha un genitore che beneficia della pensione di inabilità ai sensi della L. 118/1971

L’esonero si ottiene senza partecipare a bandi, ma semplicemente inviando via e-mail alla segreteria studenti chiedendo l'esonero e allegando un'autocertificazione del genitore attestante la propria condizione.

Per l’a.a. 2026/27 la scadenza per la consegna è il 18 dicembre 2026.

Fees and exemptions: amounts and deadlines

To request an exemption, you must submit the family unit’s financial index (ISEE for those with income in Italy, other specific documentation for those with foreign income and assets).

You can apply for an exemption to pay lower fees and apply for a scholarship even if you have not yet chosen the programme or you need to complete enrolment, so you do not risk missing the deadlines.
