🌍 On May 8th, the Partners of the SURVIVE project gathered for an online meeting dedicated to sharing and discussing the activities we are currently implementing within the project. Together with our Partners, we presented how we are organizing and carrying out activities such as Human Library sessions, Urban Trekking, and the production of video testimonies. The meeting was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and different approaches while working together to preserve important stories of resilience and memory. ✨📚🎥

On this 25th of April, we celebrate the resistance against fascism and the ongoing commitment to a Europe rooted in peace, freedom, and solidarity.
Every year in Italy, this day commemorates the fall of Mussolini’s regime and the end of the N**i occupation. It marks the liberation of cities like Milan, Turin, and Genoa, while Bologna was liberated earlier, on April 21st .
Across the country, marches, speeches, and cultural events honor the courage of those who fought for liberation and democracy.

According to oral history, sleds were used during the Będzin ghetto’s operation in Kamionka in 1942–43. During the winter they were used to transport coal from the nearby mines of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie – a region of a highly industrialized character. The item has value as a material testimony of everyday life and work under N**i occupation.
