🎉 ISB is the first Google for Education Premier Reference School in Italy. We are part of an elite pool of fewer than 25 Google for Education Premier Reference schools globally. Our collaboration with Google for Education began in 2017. In 2019, ISB became Italy’s first Google Reference School. Today, we are proud to reach another milestone as the first Google for Education Premier Reference School in the country—a recognition reserved for schools representing the highest level of innovation in the use of Google technologies for learning. As a Premier Reference School, ISB works directly with Google to develop and test next-generation educational environments. Our students and educators often experiment with new technologies before they are released globally. Innovation at ISB always goes hand in hand with safety and responsibility. Advanced tools—including Gemini AI—are integrated within a secure “Walled Garden” environment that protects privacy and data while allowing our community to explore the future of learning. This achievement belongs to our dedicated staff, curious students, and supportive families. Thank you to Our ISB Technology Director Pio Fabriziani and Mariel Reid for her contunous collaboration in the AI integration project, to Google Learning & Education, Marco Berardinelli, Riccardo Speidel, Emanuele Pozzi and Gaz Lewis, to C2 Group, Sefano Ghidini, GIONATA NOIOSI and Alessandro De Bono for their partnership.

Our Primary School educators and learners are engaged in their daily activities—exploring culture, traditions, and characteristics from around the world, expressing creativity in Visual Arts, and learning together across subjects. Among these moments, you can also catch a glimpse of our students during Italian class, where language learning becomes another window into curiosity and discovery. Every corner of the campus reflects collaboration, creativity, and the joy of learning.

Active bodies, active minds 🏐 Our Grade 9 and 10 students took their PHE learning outdoors with a beach volleyball session—developing teamwork, coordination, strategy, and communication skills in a dynamic game setting. Physical education in action means applying concepts, making decisions under pressure, and supporting one another through every rally. Learning goes beyond the classroom!

Today, our Grade 2 students engaged in a research-based learning activity focused on exploring their country of origin. Through guided research, students identified key characteristics such as climate, traditional foods, customs, and cultural practices. They then synthesized their learning by creating visual boards to organize and present their findings. This meaningful project supported the development of research skills, cultural awareness, and appreciation for diversity within our classroom community. We are proud of the thoughtful effort and curiosity shown by our young learners. ✨
