Imago Pietatis. Art and Archives. Archives and Art. l libro a cura di Elena Franco ospita diversi contributi incentrati sulla raffigurazione del Cristo in Pietà presente sulla costa dei grandi registri contabili del Monte di pietà di Bologna prodotti tra il Cibquecento e il Settecento.
Il volume è composto da diversi saggi scritti da critici dell'arte, storici dell'arte, archivisti e dall'artista che ha rivisitato, vivificato attraverso la creazione di opere d'arte originali e inedite quegli antichi manufatti e le loro rappresentazioni grafiche.
The book edited by Elena Franco contains several contributions centred on the depiction of Christ in Piety on the coast of the great accounting records of the Monte di Pietà of Bologna produced between the Cibquecento and the eighteenth century.
The volume is composed of several essays written by art critics, art historians, archivists and the artist who has revisited, vivified through the creation of original and unpublished works of art those ancient artefacts and their graphic representations.
