Throwback moment 💫

Earlier this season, we had the joy of welcoming back Francesca La Stella — AFI alumna turned guest artist — for a week of dancing, sweating, questioning, researching, and discovering.

Working with the 2025/2026 group, Francesca invited our dancers to dig deeper, trust their instincts, and search for movement that feels real, authentic, and truly their own.

Watching an AFI graduate come back to share her experience with the next generation is one of those moments that reminds us what AFI truly is. Once you're part of AFI, you're always part of the family ❤️

The 2025/2026 season may be over, but we're already getting excited for what's next.

Applications for AFI 2026/2027 are open, and there are only a few spots left for young dancers ready to work hard, take risks, challenge themselves, and grow as artists.

Dal 16 al 20 giugno 2026: Danzare il Tramonto - Un festival immersivo dove la natura incontra la danza contemporanea e le arti performative.

Accompagnati da una guida ambientale esperta, ci si immerge nei paesaggi suggestivi del Parco, seguendo un percorso che culmina al tramonto in un luogo intimo, dove prende vita la performance.

From October to last Sunday's final performance, this journey was about so much more than dance. It was about growth, friendship, hard work, and creating something together.

Meet Jiri Pokorny one of our long-time collaborators ✨

For years, Jiri has been teaching Crystal Pite’s repertoire within our program, and we are always happy to welcome him back to AFI.
He brings not only the repertoire itself, but also his experience and deep knowledge of the contemporary dance scene.

The group spent an inspiring week with him, exploring various contemporary dance exercises, practices, and creative approaches.

We’re excited to announce that he will be returning next year as well — one of the most highly anticipated international artists in our program! 🔥

Last Saturday, the AFI 2025/2026 group and Collettivo Vikap presented the showcase of V COMPENDO
ascolto • forza • forma • ispirazione • immaginario

Since January, every Friday afternoon our dance studio became a space of encounter, listening, and shared movement during the seminar of CorpoPoetico.

The showcase was simply the work of the workshop from week after week where dancers and participants built a meaningful dialogue beyond limitations, discovering new ways of communicating through movement, presence, and care. What emerged was more than a performance, it was a deeply human experience of connection.

Thank you Anna Albertarelli , Prof. Roberto Renzo, Jacopo Desiato, and Marta Tirabassi for all the hard work you have put in creating this amazing connection.

The CorpoPoetico is featured in Art Factory International Program every year. There are still remaining spots in the upcoming AFI 2026/2027 program.
