A new 2026 proposal:

Study, cook, eat with the teacher: a unique experience proposal at Lake Como.

Study Italian, cook the tastiest Italian dishes with the teacher, then sit down with her, enjoy the company eating the home made Italian food, chatting in Italian while this experience becomes the opportunity not only for practising Italian but also for living an immersion in everyday Italian life at Lake Como area.

My new proposal for a semi-intensive week of Italian is this:

Tree hours a day with the teacher for five days: 1.30 hour for regular lesson, 1.30 hour for cooking, eating, and chatting together. In Magreglio, 20 minutes from Bellagio.

From May to October.

From level A1.

sono TUTTE espressioni ricorrenti, che ampliano l uso del verbo fare. Meglio impararle da subito!

The verb FARE, irregular, is a very important verb. I teach it at the beginning of the basic courses due to the richness of its use and its meanings.
Take a shower, do the washing machine, queue, get a ticket, are useful expressions that broaden the use of this verb. Therefore, it is better to know it, study it and use it straight away.

"Finalmente" e "alla fine" hanno significati diversi. Eppure, un errore molto comune per chi studia italiano, a tutti i livelli, è di usare queste due espressioni come avessero lo stesso significato. Invece no.
Ecco l uso corretto.

Dopo tanti tentativi andati male, finalmente ho superato l'esame!

Il film è molto triste, ma alla fine, l' eroe si salva.

What is the best way to end an Italian course? At the table, of course! And this time too, our advanced Italian course ended at the table in Lasnigo, with our friend Battista, who always tells us so much about local life and history.
Menu: gnocco fritto, pisarei, tiramisu. with a good red.
In the end, surprisingly, he opened up his rich collection of Barbi, which will soon be open to the public.

The last day of the Italian advanced course has been really special. No lesson, just practising the language and immersing ourselves into the Italian culture and cusine.
We stated visiting Barni, a well preserved rural village, where big posters displaied along the narrow streets show the portraits of all the residents. We have had an exceprional guide, Giulia Caminada, the author of over 600 photos portraing all the residents.
