"Erasmus in Bari: monuments, traditions and sustainability"

This podcast is the students' final product of the multidisciplinary learning unit on the European Union developed within our Erasmus+ project. During the project, which has lasted for more than two years, the pupils have discovered many cities, towns and cultural traditions of the various European nations. At the end of this course of study now, with this podcast, they want to introduce Bari to their fellow Italian and European citizens.

It was in fact a round trip. They have virtually traveled among the monuments and culture of many countries and have returned to their own city enriched by this experience, they have been able to see Bari with different eyes, they have made comparisons with other foreign cities and have learned that diversity enriches. The motto of the European Union is precisely "United in diversity".

In these nine episodes students briefly describe some aspects of their city, in particular the Borgo Antico. The main places of interest, some legends, aspects relating to sustainability and some information on the Apulian statesman who contributed to the process of European integration: Aldo Moro.

The episodes are published in chronological order starting from the most recent, so to listen to them in order it is necessary to start from the lowest one. Happy listening!

Last December 13th, a delegation of students from the Michelangelo school illustrated the digital works created as part of the Erasmus project "On the route of Erasmus". This project has allowed ten teachers of the Institute to attend training courses abroad and the students to make an imaginary "journey" through the study of the various countries of the European Union , activities and workshops on their history, geography and cultural traditions. This is a round trip. In fact, after learning so much about the main European countries and cities, the students introduced Bari to Europe and wanted to share this enriching experience of the Erasmus Project with their fellow citizens as well. Thanks to this project, students are more aware of the meaning of the European Union's motto "United in diversity": diversity is a value that enriches.

An afternoon workshop has been launched for the creation of a series of podcasts which will constitute the final product of the students within the learning unit on the European Union.

On 13, 14, and 15 October, the Erasmus Days celebrate the Erasmus + program in Europe and around the world. International mobility and European citizenship are once again at the center of the celebrations.

Our school proposes a digital event that has been included on the official Indire platform dedicated to the Erasmus Days 2022. The event consists of a digital presentation describing the various phases of our Erasmus project still in progress "On the route of Erasmus".

This school year is over. The Erasmus project saw students and teachers engaged in numerous educational and training activities concerning the European Union.

If the school year comes to an end, the project activities will not, in fact next month a very important phase will begin, that of training abroad. In fact, two groups of teachers will travel to Belgium and Ireland to take two training courses. Stay tuned ...
