Preparing for this Summer

There are a few details to take care of before sending your child to Umbria Music Camp. Once you fill out the form, you will be able to schedule a zoom call with our American Director, David Diianni. It is of utmost importance to us that parents feel comfortable and confident before enrolling their children in the summer program. After the meeting, we encourage you to connect with our professors, ask about their education, their teaching method, and the way classes are conducted at Umbria Music Camp. In addition, you will also have the chance to connect to former campers and parents!

North America Director:

David Diianni is an award-winning educator and is the Director of FilmAcademy360, an innovative educational program.
David is also the North American Director for Umbria Music Camp. He partners with the Italian camp director to offer this unique opportunity to young American musicians.
He travels back and forth to Italy on a regular basis to be with his teenage children who are both in school in Rome.

Umbria Music Camp has served as a haven for Italian children and young adults since 2017. We’re located on a picturesque campus with awesome facilities near Avigliano, in the beautiful countryside of Umbria, Italy.
In 2022 we decided to launch a program open to American campers. It is its inaugural year and we are ready to welcome our first students from the United States. In fact, from July 10th to July 16th both Italian and American students will be living in the camp together.
Every summer, our caring, and enthusiastic teachers engage their students with creative programs to achieve a higher level of excellence in musical understanding and performance. Our activities and offerings are fun, challenging, and accepting of everyone’s individual abilities. Above all, we are a very special Music Camp dedicated to ensuring everyone has the experience of a lifetime.

IL FESTIVAL DEI DUE MONDI OR FESTIVAL OF THE TWO WORLDS

Near Umbria Summer Music Camp takes place the 65th edition of the Festival of the Two Worlds, an annual summer music and opera festival held each June to early July in Spoleto, Italy, since its founding by composer Gian Carlo Menotti in 1958. It features a vast array of concerts, opera, dance, drama, visual arts, and round table discussions on science.
