It's really exciting to begin to see a few people begin to sign up for this! We’ve wanted to organize something like it for years- an opportunity for youth from around Europe and beyond to come together, learn and have fun through drama and music.
It's hard to not make this sound like a salesman's pitch, but here goes.......taking the megaphone out....climbing up a chair....clearing our throat......

Show day here Iceland, on day four of The Chain Foundation’s’Landscapes and Legends’ course! In this natural amphitheater of stunning beauty, our teachers performed scenes from Iceland’s epic tale ‘Njall’s Saga’. They did a great job!

Morning of day three in Iceland with .eu …climbing Eldfell volcano on the stunning Westman Islands. The last time it erupted was in 1973 and the whole island had to be evacuated…….!
This afternoon we’ll be rehearsing scenes from Njall’s Saga at the local folk museum/ cultural centre.

We’ve come to the end of day two here in Iceland…and what a day. Tomorrow…we climb the volcano!

Teachers from all over Europe have come together to learn about Iceland and its fascinating heritage- in particular its great sagas! Essere’s role on the course is to bring these stories to life with the teachers, through drama and music, and it’s proving to be a wonderful week so far!

Proud of our young cast in Ferrara who performed A Midsummer Night’s Dream last night! What a wonderful, committed group you are. You told this timeless tale so well, with so much passion and generosity! A big thank you to everyone involved in this project- Ms. Benetti first and foremost for organizing it, and to Mrs Bazzanini for her belief and support for the project. A special thanks also to Antonio on the lights and sound, to Alessandro and the staff at Sala Estense, to Adela and Sophie for the beautiful forest set, and last but not least to the families of these students and the young cast!
Grazie! We all did this together!

We travel to Iceland in two weeks’ time, where we will be delivering the drama and music layer of The Chain Foundation’s course ‘Iceland- landscapes and legends’! The Icelandic sagas will take centre-stage as we travel around this beautiful land bringing its characters to life on location. Lots to look forward to!

We still have some places left on our Erasmus KA1 staff mobility course on environmental awareness through the performing arts!

The course will take place from July 18th to July 22nd in the heart of Florence, Italy, and we will be exploring the theme of environmental awareness through drama, music, writing and crafting.
