Books bring people, languages and cultures together, and there’s always another story waiting to be discovered.

📚 This International Literacy Day, we’re celebrating everything that makes reading so special: getting lost in a story, discovering new worlds, meeting unforgettable characters and seeing life through different eyes.

Everyone across Europe should have the chance to enjoy the magic of reading and take part in our shared cultural life.

🌟 Something exciting is coming to help make literacy a reality for all across Europe: the European Literacy Coalition.

Stay tuned!

We often talk about the EUmies Awards Days that bring together the winners and finalists of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards, supported under Creative Europe, in Barcelona. But the impact of the Prize goes far beyond one celebration. ✨

The EUmies Awards 2026 exhibition is on tour this summer, bringing Europe’s most outstanding contemporary architecture projects closer to communities across the continent. And now, it’s Oulu’s turn to host the exhibition!

A particularly special coincidence: Oulu is also one of this year’s European Capital of Culture, also supported under Creative Europe. So, there you have it: a celebration of architecture and culture coming together in one place. 🎉

Why does this matter? Because architecture is a tool for transformation, dialogue and cultural exchange. The EUmies Awards 2026 exhibition is another example of how architecture can inspire conversations, connect people, and reflect the diversity of European experiences. 🏛️🌍

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit it and discover the projects shaping the future of European architecture! 👀
