First of all we want to wish all teachers, trainers and educators good and well deserved summer holidays!

We had some great groups join our courses in the first part of the year and now we want to remind you that there are still available places on our winter courses. Please check out the course program for Erasmus courses here - https://www.ici.is/en/courses-and-education/
Most courses still have availability so if you know some schools that are still planning their mobility, please just forward the info to them.

The ICI team wants to wish all our friends and followers all the best for 2026 and thank everyone who spent some special, critical and creative moments with us in Iceland.

All of you that have been on our courses, may remember trying out the rich group worthy activities (CLIM). On some courses we used the activity "Can we change something?", which is a task about discrimination, prejudice, racism etc. Others tried the task "Sustainability what?", concerning different aspects of the concept sustainability.
I have often been asked if those tasks can be purchased and now at last, they can! Using the links below you can find the English version of both tasks and one of the tasks in German language. The tasks are in downloadable electric format. The book and further tasks are also being translated into German and will hopefully be available after the summer.

Just a reminder that ICI is offering different kinds of on-line opportunities that you can see below. The offers that you can book now are the following but we are also open for discussions on other structures. Please contact Guðrún (gudrun(at)ici.is) for further information:

1. Online Flex I – Group worthy tasks for cooperative learning in diverse classrooms – Individual course.

2. Online Flex II – “Using creative cooperative learning tasks during a Sensitization training on racism, discrimination, migration etc. – Individual course

3. If we don’t talk about it, who will? Short awareness training on discrimination and everyday racism
For teachers, trainers and other staff members of one organization or school that join the course together on site. Minimum number of participants 16, no maximum number of participants – One day course

4. Diverse society – Diverse Classrooms - Student’s diversity benefitting social diversity. Special focus on key competences, cooperative learning and inclusion in multicultural/diverse groups of learners.
For teachers and trainers of one organization or school. Any school level. Minimum number of participants 16, maximum number of participants 30.
One or two day course.

5. Individual/pair support/coaching
This possibility is meant for teachers/trainers that have already joined a ICI course but wish for support with creating tasks and implementing them with their learners. These can be former participants of all ICI courses.

Now teachers and trainers are soon going to have their well-earned summer holidays.
ICI will also take a course break in June and July but we still have available places on our courses in August and the winter months. If you are planning to apply for a course, please contact us sooner than later so that we can estimate the number and confirm the courses as soon as possible.
