EARTHQUAKE SEARCH & RESCUE

If you would like to help with the rescue effort in the devastating aftermath of the earthquakes in Nepal but don't know how please consider donating to SARAID, a Search & Rescue Charity who are currently on their way to Nepal.

Many of you know about my connection to these amazing guys and girls - we deployed to Sri Lanka together after the tsunami in 2004 - and I have witnessed their amazing and selfless work first hand. If I was stuck under a collapsed building these are the people I would be praying would find me.

Some of you also know about the time I have spent in Nepal, the incredible kindness, generosity and hospitality I received across the country from everyone I met.

If you have traveled at all you will know that it is often the people with the least that give the most and come to your rescue when all other hope is lost. I have found this all over the world but particularly in Nepal.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Now they need our help and now it's our turn to give something back.

It really is one of the most special places in the world and the Nepalese the most wonderfully special people. I feel privileged to call so many of them my friends and they should know they are all in our thoughts and prayers.
