The Student Council of the University of Iceland would like to communicate the following information regarding accessibility at SHÍ's Októberfest:
The festival will take place in front of the University of Iceland, on the gravel parking lot. The gravel is compact, and all potholes have been filled in.
An accessible viewing platform will be available in the large festival tents, providing wheelchair users with a clear view of the stage. The platform will be located next to the sound technicians’ area.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets will be available at the festival site.
Personal assistants are admitted to the festival free of charge.
Holders of disabled parking permits are exempt from parking fees. To register your vehicle, please email [email protected] and attach a clear photograph of your parking permit. This also applies to the parking spaces in the curved area in front of Aðalbygging (the Main Building), which are the closest to the festival site.
