'meira' and 'fleira' are easy to mix up, because they both translate to 'more' in English, but they're not the same in Icelandic! I wrote up a little article to help clarify the differences (hint: it's just that one is for countable things, the other uncountable).

I also added an exercise to Grammar made easi(er) to help you practice when to use which!

"Bjartsýnn" = "optimistic" is a banger of a word.
It literally means "bright-seeing". What a great way to describe someone who tends to look at the bright side of things!
10/10 word. Poetic as all hell.

Your friends are awesome: learn Icelandic with them! Get a group together and get a Tailored Course, just for you.
It's 18,000 krónur per class, but that's spread between all participants (so if there's 2 of you, it's 9,000 each. If there's 10 of you, it's 1,800 each). Most unions reimburse 75-100% of the cost.
Timing and location is decided in consultation with the teacher, Þóra, and tailored to your group's preferences. She'll also tailor the content of the course to you and your group.
What do you think about having a tailored course with your friends?

I'm doing lots of word frequency analysis to pick words for grammar.icelandicmadeeasier.com, and here's a fun-fact I just had to share:
Out of all the days of the week, 'Saturday' comes up the most often, about 2.7 times more often than the (apparently) least important tday, Tuesday. Whodathunk?
Day frequency
laugardagur 183,945
sunnudagur 152,555
föstudagur 122,826
mánudagur 96,025
fimmtudagur 88,241
miðvikudagur 73,547

I'm planning to write an article on meira vs. fleiri and I'd like to get a better feel for what you think.
What are some questions you'd like answered or points you'd like addressed about those words?

*að ráða vs. að ákveða*
These words are often confused for each other because they both translate as 'to decide', but they actually have very different meanings.
-Að ákveða = to decide, to make a decision
-Að ráða = to hold decision-making power
It can seem a subtle distinction, but consider these sentences.
-Ég get ekki ákveðið hvað ég vil = I can't decide what I want.
-Ég veit ekki. Þú ræður! = I don't know. You decide!
-Ég vil tala við þann sem ákvað þetta = I want to talk to the one who made this decision.
-Ég vil tala við þann sem ræður = I want to talk to the one who is in charge.
-Ég ræð þessu ekki = I don't make the decisions on this / I'm not in charge on this
