Inspiring day at the Mini Career Guidance Fair at Rafael Báez High School and Vocational Center 🤖✨

During our AI4YE talk for students and teachers, we shared key insights from our field study and showcased useful AI applications for studying, tools that are worth knowing for everyday learning: Canva, NotebookLM, Elsa Speak, Khan Academy, among others.

We also discussed practical tips for a responsible, critical, and ethical use of AI:
● how to earase our data
● verifying sources

Throughout the day we connected with students from other schools, talking about our Erasms+ projects, local volunteering opportunities, and of course how AI can support young entrepreneurship. 🎙️ We also recorded an interview for the fair’s podcast and met with the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce to learn about support tools for freelancers and entrepreneurs.

♡ A highlight: speaking with the Puerto del Rosario Merchants’ Association, who are developing an app to boost local commerce using AI predictive features to improve services for shoppers and help over 150 small businesses in the capital grow stronger. 🚀🛍️

As part of the AI4YE – Erasmus+ KA210 Youth project, we visited the Tre Croci Vocational School in Villa San Giovanni to present the results of our field research on the impact of artificial intelligence on entrepreneurial opportunities for young people.

We chose to invest in a vocational school, as it is a context where students begin to engage with the world of work. Here, they can develop practical skills, connect with companies and local organizations, and prepare to become active participants and future entrepreneurs. The school, located in the Strait of Messina between Calabria and Sicily, the heart of the Mediterranean, is a strategic point to link education, businesses, and local opportunities.

Students, engaging with AI, deepened their entrepreneurial skills and reflected on how to turn ideas into practical tools to innovate and create businesses. Enthusiastic about what they learned, they will be a key link in our dissemination chain, sharing the project’s results and best practices with classmates, third-sector organizations, and other local stakeholders.
