Overview of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS)
Situated in Tehran, IUMS was established in 1974 as the Imperial Medical Center and later became an independent public medical university under Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education .
Academic structure: IUMS comprises 10–11 schools, including Medicine; Nursing & Midwifery; Public Health; Pharmacy; Rehabilitation Sciences; Advanced Medical Technologies; Behavioral Sciences; Health Management & Information Sciences; Allied Medical Sciences; Dentistry; and Traditional/Persian Medicine .
