Spiritual Quest is an English language biannual journal published by the Centre for Cultural and Ethical Studies (London) in association with the International Institute for Islamic Studies which seeks to present scholarly works on Islamic Ethics and Spirituality to its readers. Humanity today is going through a time of upheaval and confusion on a global scale and there is a marked increase in the number of people sincerely searching for what can bring tranquility to their heart and peace to their mind. This quest for spirituality needs a systematic, methodical and scholarly approach.

In the Name of God
All praises are to God for giving us the opportunity to organize the 2nd Risalat Summer Course from August 14th to 27th.
In this course which began in Qom and continued for two weeks and ended in Mashhad, 26 participants from different countries including the United States, the UK, France, Kuwait, etc.
The classes were held from morning to evening on theology, anthropology, Imama, etc.
In between classes and discussions, guests of this course visited different places including the holy shrines of Lady Ma’suma (s) and the Mosque of Jamkaran.
The last four days of the course were held in Mashhad where the participants found the tawfiq to visit the holy Shrine of Imam al-Reza (a) to bless the knowledge they had received.
The course was finished on August 27th and the participants received the certificates of attendance.

In the Name of God
All praise be to God, the 7th round of Shia-Catholic Dialogue was held by the topic of “Human Dignity in Islam and Christianity”. The classes and discussions were held in the International Institute for Islamic Studies in Qom and also in Mashhad from 10th to 15th of May in a warm and brotherly atmosphere of intimacy and understanding.
Christian Benedictine scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, France and Kenya participated in this course.
In between discussions and presentations, Christian guests of this dialogue visited places including the holy shrines of Lady Ma’suma (s) and Imam al-Reza (a), Mosque of Jamkaran.

On March 8th, the IIIS had the honor to host Sister Nicole Correri from Washington
In her speech, she spoke about the experiences of new Muslims in the US and then described the Muslim and Shia communities there.
The session ended with questions and answers.

On February 16th, the IIIS had the honor to host Hajji Sahib from Wali Ul Asr Education Center (WIPAHS), Kibaha, Tanzania
At the beginning of this session, a short video clip introduced WIPAHS Islamic center.
Then, Haji Sahib described the Shia community there and this education center.
