VESAL 2026 is pleased to welcome Dr. Ashraf Riadh Abdullah, Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language, College of Arts, University of Mosul.

His keynote speech, “AI Suspicion and Linguistic Legitimacy in Online Academic Discussions,” explores how generative AI is reshaping judgments about academic authorship, writing assistance, responsibility, and linguistic legitimacy.

Dr. Abdullah specializes in sociolinguistics, language and identity, internet pragmatics, virtual identity, and the relationship between language and artificial intelligence.

Building Partnerships for Quality Education & Sustainable Growth!
The English Language Teaching (ELT) Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) visited Safeen Compound School in Shaqlawa on September 9, 2026 to explore future academic cooperation and joint educational initiatives.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Herman Ayar, Principal of Safeen Compound School, and the school’s administrative team. Discussions focused on future collaboration, including a possible Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), professional development activities, knowledge sharing, and innovative educational initiatives.

Both institutions expressed their commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for students and educators and strengthening long-term academic cooperation.

This initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

شاندێک لە فاکەڵتی پەروەردەی زانکۆی نێودەوڵەتی تیشک (TIU) سەردانی کۆمەڵگەی پەروەردەیی AGA کرد، بە مەبەستی بەهێزکردنی پەیوەندییە دامەزراوەییەکان و گفتوگۆ لەسەر دەرفەتەکانی هاوکاریی ئەکادیمی و پەروەردەیی.
شاندەکە لەلایەن بەڕێز مامۆستا زیاد محەمەد، بەڕێوەبەری دامەزراوەی پەروەردەیی AGA، لەگەڵ ئەندامانی تیمی کارگێڕی، بە گەرمی پێشوازییان لێکرا.
هەروەها، ئەم سەردانە دەرفەتێک بوو بۆ ناساندنی بەرنامە ئەکادیمییەکان و هەلەکانی خوێندن لە زانکۆی نێودەوڵەتی تیشک و هاندانی پەیوەندی و هەماهەنگیی زیاتر لەنێوان هەردوو دامەزراوەکەدا.

فاکەڵتی پەروەردەی زانکۆی نێودەوڵەتی تیشک سوپاس و پێزانینی خۆی بۆ کۆمەڵگەی پەروەردەیی AGA بۆ پێشوازیی گەرم و میواندارییەکەیان دەربڕێت و هیوادارە لە داهاتوودا هاوکارییەکی زیاتر و بەرهەمدارتر لەنێوان هەردوو لایەن بەردەوام بێت.

A delegation from the Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) visited AGA Educational Compound on Monday, August 31, 2026, to strengthen institutional ties and explore areas of academic collaboration.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Ziad Mohammed, Director of AGA Educational Institution, together with members of the administrative team. Discussions focused on potential cooperation, educational opportunities, student development, and future joint academic and professional initiatives.

During the visit, the TIU delegation was also pleased to meet Ms. Israa Hasko, a graduate of the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department at Tishk International University, who is currently serving as a primary school principal at AGA Educational Compound. Her professional achievement reflects the valuable contribution of TIU graduates to the education sector and the wider community.

The visit also provided an opportunity to introduce the academic programs and study opportunities available at Tishk International University and to encourage stronger engagement between the two institutions.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting educational opportunities and strengthening collaboration between academic and educational institutions.

The Faculty of Education extends its appreciation to AGA Educational Compound for its warm reception and looks forward to further constructive collaboration.
