Academic Visit – 4/12/2025

The College of Education – English Department welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Education at Koya University/ Department of English. The visit focused on exchanging ideas between students and teachers, discussing teaching methods, curriculum development, and future academic cooperation.
Both sides shared valuable insights and created a positive atmosphere for collaboration. We thank our guests from Koya University for their visit and look forward to future joint activities.

لە ئەزموونێکی تازەدا لە سەڵتەنەی عمان، لە شاری نەزوە، لە زانکۆی نەزوە بۆ بەشداری کردن لە کۆڕبەندێکی تایبەت بە توێژینەوە و داهێنانی قوتابیانی وڵاتە عەڕەبییەکان کە لە بەرواری 1/11/2025 تاکو 6/11/2025 بەڕێوە چوو. بە سەرپەرشتیاری د. محمد قادر و قوتابی زەهرا کانبی محمود وەک توێژەر کێبڕکێ ی نزیکەی ٦۰ توێژینەوەی تریان کرد کە لە کۆی ۲۰۰ توێژینەوەدا گەیشتوون بەو قۆناغە. شایەنی باسە، لەم کۆڕبەندەدا سێ توێژەری تر نوێنەرایەتی زانکۆی سەڵاحەددینیان کرد بە یاوەری توێژەرێک لە پۆلیتەکنیکی هەولێر و توێژەرێکیش لە پۆلیتەکنیکی سلێمانی و دانەیەکیش لە زانکۆی .
خاتوو زەهرا، دەرچووی بەشەکەمان بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی، باشترین ئاستی خۆی پێشکەش کرد و پلەی یەکەمی بە دەستهێنا.
لێرەدا پیرۆزبایی گەرم ئاراستەی قوتانی ناوبراو و دکتۆر محمد دەکەین، شانازییەکی گەورەن بۆ زانکۆی سەڵاحەددین بە تایبەت بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی لە کۆلێژی پەروەردە.

In a recent experience in the Sultanate of Oman, in the city of Nizwa, at the University of Nizwa to participate in a conference dedicated to the research and innovation of students from Arab countries, which took place from 1/11/2025 to 6/11/2025. Under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Qadir and student Zahra Kanbi Mahmoud as a researcher, they competed with nearly 60 other research projects that reached this stage out of a total of 200 research projects. It is worth mentioning that in this conference, three other researchers represented Salahaddin University, along with one researcher from Erbil Polytechnic and one researcher from Sulaimani Polytechnic, and one from the university [text appears incomplete].
Ms. Zahra, a graduate of our department, the English Language Department, presented her best performance and achieved first place.
Here we extend warm congratulations to the aforementioned student and Dr. Mohammed. They are a great source of pride for Salahaddin University, especially the English Language Department at the College of Education.

An academic Debate on “Solving littering through raising awareness and enforcement of laws” was held in the Evening English Department of the College of Basic Education. Second-year evening students from the English Department of the College of Education and the College of Basic Education participated in it. The seminar was organized under the supervision of Mrs. Sazan Sidgul in cooperation with Dr. (Bukhari). With the great efforts of Ph.D. (Azad Aziz), Director of the College of Basic Education, and Dr. (Tahseen), Head of the English Department. At the end, certificates were awarded to the organizers and participants, expressing solidarity and harmony in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Korean Scholarships for Master’s & PhD Studies
Today Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the English Department hosted an insightful seminar presented by Ms. Hero Ali Omer, specifically tailored for 4th-year graduates and graduate assistants. The session focused on fully funded scholarship opportunities in South Korea for Master’s and PhD programs.
Ms. Hero shared detailed guidance on the application procedures, eligibility criteria, and the wide range of academic fields available under these scholarships.
Attendees gained valuable information on how to prepare competitive applications and take the next step toward international graduate studies.
