Ms. Aynda introduced conditional statements in English language in session eight of Unlock Your Grammar, Unlock Your Voice,. Learners practiced forming conditional sentences to discuss real and hypothetical situations. Interactive exercises and group discussions helped participants apply conditionals confidently in spoken English.

In session seven of Unlock Your Grammar, Unlock Your Voice, Ms. Aynda, an Applied Linguistics and TESOL student at UKH, led learners through comparatives and superlatives. The session focused on describing and comparing people, places, and objects. Learners engaged in descriptive tasks and peer discussions to enhance fluency and grammatical accuracy.

In session seven of English in Action, Ms. Yara facilitated participants to focus on the challenges of expressing personal feelings in English. The participants engaged in guided conversations and role-based activities to develop vocabulary and confidence for sharing emotions clearly and respectfully in real-life situations.

American Corner Erbil coordinated a visit for Politics and International Relations students from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr to the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil.
Students took part in an inspiring roundtable discussion with the Consul General on diplomacy and career paths, followed by a tour of the new consulate campus.

In session six of English in Action, Ms. Yara guided learners in reflecting on personal choices and their impact on everyday life. Through discussions and speaking activities, participants practiced expressing opinions, sharing experiences, and using English to communicate personal reflections with confidence.

American Corner Erbil (ACE) proudly celebrated its volunteers who successfully completed their service with ACE through a special visit to the U.S. Consulate General Erbil new campus in Erbil.
The volunteers were warmly welcomed by the Consul General and the Public Affairs team, making the visit both meaningful and memorable. In recognition of their dedication and contributions, volunteers were presented with Certificates of Completion.
This celebration reflects ACE’s appreciation for its volunteers and their vital role in supporting educational and cultural exchange programs.

Session five of the English in Action program was delivered by Ms. Yara, a senior student from the English Department at UKH. Emotional intelligence and its role in effective communication was topic of discussion. Participants explored how recognizing and managing emotions can improve interpersonal skills. She guided learners through forming correct questions and statements in English. Activities focused on sentence structure, word order, and transforming statements into questions. Learners practiced through pair work and short discussions to improve accuracy and confidence in everyday communication.

Another session of English in Action program, Ms. Yara, a senior student from the English Department at UKH, guided learners in discussing the statement “University prepares you for the future.” Participants shared perspectives, expressed agreement and disagreement, and supported their opinions with personal experiences in a debate format. The session emphasized critical thinking, structured argumentation, and confident spoken English.
