Today, staff members of Tishk International University observed a one-minute moment of silence to honor the victims of the Halabja chemical attack.
We remember the innocent lives lost and stand in solidarity to keep their memory alive. 🕊️

ئەمڕۆ ستافی زانکۆی نێودەوڵەتی تیشک خولەکێک بێدەنگ وەستان بۆ ڕێزگرتن لە قوربانیانی کارەساتى کیمیابارانی هەڵەبجە.
یادی ئەو گیانە بێگوناهانە دەکەینەوە و هەمیشە یادیان بە زیندوویی دەمێنێتەوە. 🕊️

لەم ڕۆژەدا ڕێز لە یادی هەزاران ژیانی بێ تاوانی لەدەستچوو دەگرین و لە یادی کارەساتێکدا دەوەستینەوە کە هەرگیز نابێت لەبیر بکرێت. هەڵەبجە وەک هێمای خۆڕاگری و کەرامەت و بانگەوازی هەمیشەیی بۆ دادپەروەری و مرۆڤایەتی دەمێنێتەوە.
یادیان هەمیشە زامێکە لە ناخی کورددا، دەبێت بەردەوام بین لە فێربوون لە مێژوو بۆ ئەوەی هەرگیز ئەو جۆرە ئازارانە دووبارە نەبێتەوە.

Remembering the victims of the Halabja chemical attack.
On this day, we honor the memory of thousands of innocent lives lost and stand in remembrance of a tragedy that must never be forgotten. Halabja remains a symbol of resilience, dignity, and the enduring call for justice and humanity.
May their memory live on, and may the world continue to learn from history so that such suffering is never repeated.

لە ساڵیادی لەدایک بوونی سەرۆک مەلا مستەفا بارزانی، بە ڕێزەوە یادی بەرز دەنرخێنین

Announcement

Tishk International University held an extended University Council meeting on March 11, 2026, with the participation of the Head of the Board of Trustees, the University Presidency, and the Heads of Departments. The purpose of the meeting was to review recent developments and assess the current educational situation at the University in light of ongoing circumstances.

During the meeting, the council discussed several important topics, including student examination schedules, updates to the academic calendar, and the preparation of suitable alternative study solutions to ensure the continuity of the education process. Additional academic and administrative considerations were also addressed to maintain the smooth functioning of university operations.

The University has prepared comprehensive contingency plans aimed at ensuring uninterrupted learning. The TIU - IT Unit, in close coordination with all academic departments, is actively working to maintain full readiness of TIU’s digital education systems. Students are kindly requested to regularly check their official TIU email accounts for updates, as the University will promptly communicate any further developments or decisions.

TIU extends its sincere wishes for safety, protection, and stability for our country and all members of our community.

On March 10, 2026, Tishk International University held an important meeting to review and discuss the current educational situation at the university. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Board of Trustees, the University Presidency, as well as the Deans and Vice Deans of the faculties.

During the meeting, several key topics were addressed, including:

• Student examinations
• Reorganization and preparation of updated examination plans
• The academic calendar
• Identifying appropriate solutions to ensure the continuation of the educational process
• Additional academic and administrative considerations

The university is currently preparing contingency plans to ensure the continuity of the learning process should the current situation continue. We reaffirm that the health and safety of our students, academic staff, and community remain our highest priority.

The university will promptly notify students of any further developments or decisions.

We pray that God protects our beloved Kurdistan, its citizens, and our dear staff and students.
