And programming turned out to be the perfect profession for me. I still create worlds. Instead of stories, I do them with code. Programming gives me this amazing power to build my whole little universe with its own rules and paradigms and practices [and] create something out of nothing with the pure power of logic.”

🏡 As parents, we often correct our children’s mistakes with the hope that they will grow into good people who can take care of themselves. Yet if we only focus on what they are doing wrong, it can backfire as children may suffer from stress and anxiety. It’s important to realize that despite the challenges, each kid has their individual strengths and potential, and we can choose to acknowledge, focus on and nurture them. 👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬👨‍🔬Children are born scientists in the sense that they are naturally curious and observant. It’s never too soon to help our kids develop their love and skills for STEAM. But how do we do that? has 5 suggestions for us parents:

1️⃣Encourage children to notice things
2️⃣Encourage children to describe what they see and do
3️⃣Ask ‘what’ rather than ‘why’ questions
4️⃣Encourage children to count using one-to-one correspondence
5️⃣Encourage children to think about space around them
