the College of Business and the Business and Economics Society invite you to a presentation entitled “Iraq and the World Trade Organization” by Mr. Tharwat Akram Salman, the Director, of the WTO Department, Ministry of Trade. The Presentation will include two presentations, the first will be in general about World Trade Organization and the second is on Iraq's WTO Accession process and the state of play, on Thursday, May 4th-2023, from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm, the Event will take place at COB building # 58 A, auditorium #102.

- Two officials from the Ministry of Trade, Accession Department will be attending the event (names shown below)

1- Mr. Tharwat Akram Salman/Director of WTO department (the speaker)

2- Mrs. Louloua Mustafa Qasim/ Coordination Officer/WTO Dept.

Note/ Snacks and Drinks will be served.

The Business and Economics Society invites you to its annual Iftar

DAY: Monday, 17th of April
TIME: 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

IFTAR VENUE: Food Court
SESSION VENUE: COB auditorium 102

TICKET PRICE: 12,000 IQD (no visitors outside AUIB)

Tickets will be sold at COB building next to the elevator from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BES thanks all the members who contributed in the society during the fall semester of 2021 & spring semester of 2022. And wish for the new members to continue the hard and good work.

Old board members message:
Since many people in Iraq suffer from lacking the adequate skills that restrict them joining the bandwagon of the market, we established the Business & Economics Society on June 1st, 2021, to encourage students to either establishing their own business or achieving the appropriate skills to join local and international companies. Our mission is developing and motivating Students' skills and overcoming obstacles.
Within a short period, we have organized 11 events during two semesters.
