The School of Pharmacy in the University of Sulaimani was established in 2004 for education and preparation appropriately the best quality staff in the health care sector to serve and improve particularly people's health in the mainframe of Kurdish society. Therefore, the mission is to provide best professional practice, experience and high educated learning in the health care sector focusing on the human resources, as the most critical factor in development, and environment protection. The main goal is to impart an advanced intensive and comprehensive curriculum based on international standards that include five years study theoretical and practical subjects for B.Sc. in pharmacy and six years study for Pharm-D (pharmacy doctorate). Also the school fosters technology innovation, development, and researches in the pharmacy field especially drug administration, testing, drug control, and delivery system. Periodic symposium, seminars, and practical projects such as mandatory training in hospitals, community pharmacies, and pharmaceutical factories are committed. Under the sponsorship of lecturers scientific trips are conducted from time to time.
