In meeting this challenge CUE seeks to prepare leaders who are ethically, conscientiously, and administratively prepared to serve society and the common interest; leaders who are deeply involved in a diversified and changing world, and who seek to achieve a balanced development in intellect, body, and soul for all the members of its community. CUE also provides the practical knowledge and skills required for achieving success. Based in an all English language curriculum, and operating in an atmosphere of freedom and academic competence, the university prepares its graduates with the intellectual tools necessary for productive employment in the global economy. CUE actively teaches tolerance and acceptance of others. It welcomes students from all faiths, and the teaching and administrative staff come from various traditions and religious backgrounds. To enrich and enhance its educational programs, the university draws on the diverse cultural, intellectual, and economic resources available, as well as the ancient cultural and historical background of the great civilizations of the Near East.
