DAV Public School, Professor Colony, witnessed an inspiring and vibrant celebration of the 12th International Yoga Day on June 21,2026. The school campus echoed with positive energy as teachers, students, parents, and several yoga enthusiasts gathered to participate in the yoga session held from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
The session was guided by yoga instructor Ms. Vasu who led the participants through a series of asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques. The event aimed to promote the message of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the ancient practice of yoga.
Principal Mr. V.K. Kashiv joined virtually and addressed the gathering with a powerful message on the significance of yoga in today’s fast-paced world. “Yoga is not just about exercise, but a way to discover the sense of oneness within ourselves, the world, and nature. It helps us to align our body, mind, and spirit, leading us toward a healthier and happier life,” he said.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the yoga instructor, participants, and organizing committee for making the event a grand success. The event concluded with a vibe to spread the message of yoga for wellness and harmony, leaving everyone motivated and rejuvenated.

*DAV Public School Leads the Way in Promoting Fitness Through Yoga Day Marathon*

Yamunanagar, June 15, 2026: Demonstrating its commitment to promoting health, fitness, and holistic development, DAV Public School, Professor Colony, Yamunanagar, actively participated in the Yoga Day Marathon organized under the directions of the District Education Office.
A total of 125 students from Classes VIII to XII, accompanied by several teachers, took part in the marathon, which commenced from Nehru Park at 6:00 a.m. The participants reported to the school early in the morning and proceeded to the venue with great enthusiasm and discipline.
The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of yoga, physical fitness, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth. The students proudly represented the school in their house T-shirts and actively joined the marathon, reflecting the spirit of unity, determination, and wellness.
On this occasion, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Arora, MLA, Yamunanagar Constituency, emphasized the significance of yoga in daily life. He encouraged students to adopt yoga as a regular practice for maintaining physical health, mental well-being, and emotional balance. He stated that yoga is India's priceless gift to the world and plays a vital role in building a healthy and disciplined society.
The school management appreciated the dedication and active participation of the students and teachers. The event successfully conveyed the message of fitness, self-discipline, and the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life.

*सरस्वती सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल जगाधरी में आयोजित एनसीसी कैंप में प्रांजल बनी ‘बेस्ट कैडेट’*

डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल, प्रोफ़ेसर कॉलोनी यमुनानगर के 24 एनसीसी कैडेट्स ने सरस्वती सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल जगाधरी में 2 जून से 11 जून 2026 तक आयोजित एनसीसी कैंप में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हुए विद्यालय का नाम गौरवान्वित किया।
यह कैंप 14 हरियाणा बटालियन, यमुनानगर के तत्वावधान में आयोजित किया गया, जिसका नेतृत्व कमांडिंग ऑफ़िसर कर्नल पंकज पारेख, ऐडमिनिस्ट्रेटिव ऑफ़िसर लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल कुमुद मैनी, विद्यालय के एएनओ फर्स्ट ऑफ़िसर विनोद कुमार तथा सूबेदार मेजर जसवंत सिंह द्वारा किया गया।

कैंप के दौरान कैडेट्स को विभिन्न सैन्य प्रशिक्षण, अनुशासन, नेतृत्व क्षमता तथा व्यक्तित्व विकास से संबंधित गतिविधियों में भाग लेने का अवसर मिला। साथ ही नशा मुक्ति, बाल जागरूकता, अंगदान,पोसको अधिनियम, साइबर सुरक्षा,जल संरक्षण तथा स्टार्ट-अप जागरूकता जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर व्याख्यान आयोजित किए गए।

कैंप में आयोजित विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल के कैडेट्स ने अपनी प्रतिभा का शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। फायरिंग इवेंट में कैडेट प्रांजल ने लड़कियों की श्रेणी में गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि जिया ने ब्रांज़ मेडल हासिल किया। प्रांजल एवं कुमकुम कुमारी की जोड़ी को "बेस्ट पायलट" के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त, प्रांजल को गर्ल्स कैटेगरी में "बेस्ट कैडेट" का प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया गया।
खेल प्रतियोगिताओं में भी विद्यालय के कैडेट्स ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया। वॉलीबॉल प्रतियोगिता में जिया विजेता टीम का हिस्सा रही, जिसने गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर विद्यालय का गौरव बढ़ाया।
विद्यालय के प्राचार्य श्री विजय कुमार काशिव ने कैडेट्स की इस उपलब्धि पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा,

डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल, प्रोफ़ेसर कॉलोनी यमुनानगर में आज एक भावनात्मक एवं गरिमामयी समारोह का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें विद्यालय के समर्पित कर्मचारी श्री सतीश कुमार (ऑफिस अटेंडेंट) के 39 वर्षों की उत्कृष्ट सेवा के उपलक्ष्य में उन्हें सम्मानपूर्वक विदाई दी गई।
समस्त डीएवी स्कूल्स, यमुनानगर के चेयरमैन श्री विजय कपूर ने सतीश कुमार की ईमानदारी और कर्तव्य निष्ठा की सराहना करते हुए उन्हें आगामी जीवन में स्वस्थ एवं प्रसन्न रहने का आशीर्वाद दिया।

*Teachers Empowered* *Through Engaging Life Skills Training at DAV Public School Yamunanagar*

An enriching and activity-based CBSE In-House Training Programme on “Life Skills (Advanced)” was organized at DAV Public School, Yamunanagar on May 29, 2026 in the ATL. The session aimed at strengthening essential life skills among teachers through innovative and experiential learning techniques.
The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lamp lighting followed by the soulful DAV Gaan.

Principal Mr. V. K. Kashiv formally inaugurated the programme by extending his best wishes to all the participants and resource persons. He emphasized that life skills are essential for developing confident, balanced, and emotionally strong individuals.
The resource persons, Ms. Sarika Sharma and Ms. Geeta Seth, conducted the session enthusiastically and kept the participants actively engaged throughout.
A variety of interactive activities such as Read & Speak, Act It Out, Decode the Code, role plays, and problem-solving tasks were conducted to enhance communication skills, decision-making abilities, critical thinking, and teamwork among the teachers. Through innovative role-play activities, the trainers emphasized the significance of life skills in handling real-life situations effectively and highlighted the importance of developing a strong and positive mindset.
The teachers participated wholeheartedly and appreciated the practical approach of the session. The programme concluded on a positive note with encouraging feedback from the participants, a token of gratitude presented to the resource persons, with an inspiring message by the Principal, Mr. V.
