26th november- In india it is observed as constitution day / National law day.

In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the observance of 26 November as the Constitution Day. The announcement was made as part of the year-long celebration of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar. The day aims to bring awareness to the importance of the Indian Constitution as well as its main architect, Dr B R Ambedkar.

This year the Constitution Day will be celebrated in the central hall of the Parliament as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.

A welcoming move by UP govt.😇 Hope other states will come up with such needed laws soon.🙏

UP Govt 2 Child Policy

Uttar Pradesh Elections are just a few months away and the government proposed a UP 2 Child policy in the state. The UP Population Control, Stabilization, and Welfare Draft Bill 2021- 30 has been passed under Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission UPSLC official website. The main catchy point which has been made under the Uttar Pradesh Two Child policy population bill is that whoever will not follow the policy norms will not get Government jobs. This 2 Child policy in UP Government Employees is only for married couples. There have been many incentives for those couples who have two children whether it is a boy or girl. Also for those couples who have a single child whether boys or girls. Not only UP but ,
Assam took this decision too in the state.

What is the collegium system?

The Collegium system in India also called “Judges- selecting- Judges”, is the system by which the judges are appointed and transferred only by the judges.

The system has evolved by means of the judgments of the Supreme Court, and not by an Act of Parliament or by a Constitutional provision.

The Supreme Court Collegium is headed by the Chief Justice of India and comprises 4 other senior-most judges of SC.

A High Court collegium is headed by its Chief Justice and 4 other senior-most judges of that court. Names recommended for appointment by a High Court collegium reaches the government only after approval by the CJI and the Supreme Court collegium.

The government is mandated to appoint a person as a Supreme Court judge if the collegium reiterates its recommendation.

Definitely a required and welcomed move if it happens.
Maintaining a status-quo for the present collegium system will only lead to continuing of a biased process in the system.
it’s high time that there is a need for welfare legislation in appointments in this regard.

The Path to the first female Chief Justice of India goes through the removal of the collegium structure of appointing judges.

Heya fellas!
we are here to clarify commonly confused terms which are lawyer and Advocate.

Yes, if you aslo use these words interchangeably then voila! this one is for you😇

Difference between lawyer and advocate.

1. Lawyer: is a person who is still in the process of pursuing Law/LL.B. This person is not eligible to stand in the court on behalf of his/her client although he/she can give legal advice. The term lawyer is very popular and original word.
On the other hand the advocate is a special type of lawyer who can stand in favour of a client in a court.

2. The Advocate is a person who publicly supports or recommends a particular cause or policy. Advocate is eligible to put the points of his/her clients in front of the court but the lawyer can't do so because he/she is still pursuing law/LLB.

3. An advocate may be a lawyer but a lawyer may not be an advocate .An 'Advocate' is a step ahead of a' lawyer'.

4. Duties of an advocate are: Represent a client in the court of law, Speak on behalf of a client, Plead their case while duties of lawyer are: Give law advice, Can do litigation, Role and duties may change depending on the type of lawyer.

Hope you find it useful . 🤗
