The Critique Society organised an enlightening guest lecture on 18 June 2026, centering on the theme, “Life, Legacy, and Teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji”.The keynote speaker for the event was Dr Ramanpreet Kaur, Former Head and Professor of the Department of Punjabi, School of Languages, Literature, and Culture at the Central University of Punjab. In her profound address, Dr Kaur elaborated on how Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji laid down his life to uphold the timeless values of truth, compassion, and unwavering faith. She further highlighted that his supreme sacrifice transcended communal boundaries, serving as a monumental stand for the fundamental human right to practice one’s faith freely and with dignity.The successful ex*****on of the session was a collaborative effort by the faculty. Dr Vinay Chandel, Head of the Department of Hindi, coordinated the entire event. S. Amritpal Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Punjabi, and Dr Ramandeep Mahal, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, efficiently managed the proceedings as the Convenor and Co-convenor, respectively. The technical logistics of the session were seamlessly handled by Mr Parmod.Concluding the event, the Principal, Dr Arvinder Singh Bhalla, extended a formal vote of thanks to Dr Ramanpreet Kaur, expressing deep gratitude for enriching the faculty and staff with such an abundance of profound knowledge.
