In this clip from Breaking Mazes โ€“ A Leadership Dialogue Series, Prof. (Dr.) Peer G. N. Suhail sits down with Dr. Declan Doogan, former Global Head of R&D at Pfizer, to explore what AI is really beginning to change inside the world of medicine.

Drawing on decades of experience in pharmaceutical development, Dr. Doogan reflects on why traditional approaches to drug discovery may no longer be sufficient in a world shaped by data - and how AI is stepping in not to replace human expertise, but to complement it in ways we are only beginning to understand.

This short conversation touches on:
How AI is transforming the way new drugs are discovered.
Why the doctor-patient relationship may also need to evolve
The role of human judgment in an increasingly data-driven system
Questions of trust, access, and what this shift means for healthcare

It is a conversation that invites you to think a little deeper about the future of medicine - and the humans at the centre of it.
