The first quarterly meeting of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC)was convened on January 16 , at 9:30 am in the PM SHRI GHS Wokha Village . The meeting was attended by the chairman, secretary, representatives & members of the SMDC.
The chairman , Madam Loreni Ngullie , AHM welcomed the SMDC members of the school. In the proceedings of the meeting the members contributed various suggestions, ideas and inputs in the planning , implementation, monitoring, evaluation and remedial actions on all the components/ interventions of the infrastructural as well as academic and others at the school level.
Shri. Vandan Erui , Chairman , Wokha Village expressed appreciation towards the staff & the school in general for the steadfast diligence to ones duties & responsibilities .
Sir. N.Libenthung Murry , Secretary , SMDC read out the agendas for the academic session 2025.

Samagra Shiksha Nagaland (SSN) organised State level PM SHRI schools debate competition under PM SHRI schools (Prime Minister's School 's for Rising India) scheme on December 13 , 2024,at Morung Hall, Directorate of School Education, Kohima.
The debate was held on the topic "Viksit Bharat and its contours" . Students of PM SHRI government high schools and government higher secondary schools from eight districts across the state participated in the competition.
Chichanbeni A Odyuo of PM SHRI GHS Wokha Village was adjudged the first of the State PM SHRI Schools Debate Competition 2024.

The school organised workshop on maths and science. The resource person for the workshop was Shri. Johnny Patton (PGT). The objectives of the maths workshop were to equip the teachers with variety of activities in teaching and learning mathematics, to strengthen the teachers in planning and visualising lessons, to make mathematics more enjoyable, interesting and interactive.
The objectives of the science workshop were to provide a platform where students can showcase how much they have understood the different scientific theories through their models/projects.
It will also provide opportunities to students to transform their innovative ideas into working models.The workshop was informative , interactive and constructive.
A science and maths club was formed in the school. A total of 25 students each were selected for the maths and science club . Sir E. Nzanthung jami ( GT maths) and Sir. Timothy J Kikon (GT science) were appointed the mentors for maths and science club respectively.
The students showcased their exhibition. The students presented and explained the models made by them on different topics . The models presented by students were monitored and made under the guidance of their mentors.
The resource person and teachers asked questions where children got an opportunity to communicate their thoughts . The exhibition gave the students exposure and confidence to present their thoughts and mind .

The school participated in the PM SHRI school state level choir competition organised by the Nagaland Education Mission Society , Samagra Shiksha held at RCEMPA ( Jotsoma) , Kohima. Ma'am C.Renthunglo Kithan was appointed as the school music teacher. The school choir was formed under the mentorship of the music teacher . While implementing the school music program focus was made on achieving better hand -eye coordination , pattern recognition skills, fine-tune auditory skills , improve reading of musical notes and team work.
Choir,and music in general , is a unique artistic medium that provides students a connection that is beautiful and priceless .
As a participant in the choir competition , the school got two guitars and a digital piano.
