Florence Nightingale Training College of Nursing, Sawangi (M), Wardha, successfully conducted a health education program on Prevention of Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension on 29 April 2026.

The session was led by 3rd year GNM students with the aim of spreading awareness about the causes, symptoms, management, and prevention of this condition. They highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, proper treatment, maintaining hygiene, and strictly following medical advice.

The program effectively educated OPD patients and motivated them to adopt preventive practices, contributing towards safer motherhood and healthier communities.

Report on “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti” – Day 2 🌼📖

On the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, FNTCN organized an essay writing and elocution competition for students. The program was graced by the presence of the Principal, Vice Principal, and all faculty members, and began with the traditional lighting of the lamp.

ANM and GNM students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their thoughts, ideas, and oratory skills.

🏆 Highlights:
• Essay Writing Competition – 1st Prize: Ms. Anushree Shrirame (ANM 2nd Year)
• Elocution Competition – 1st Prize: Ms. Prerana Sontakke (GNM 3rd Year)

All winners were felicitated with tokens of love and appreciation.

The event reflected the spirit of learning, expression, and tribute to the ideals of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

🎯 Theme: “Together for Health: Stand with Science”

On the occasion of World Health Day, our college organized a series of engaging activities to spread awareness about the importance of health and the vital role of science in improving healthcare. 🩺✨

🎨 Poster Competition
Students showcased their creativity through informative posters based on the theme. Their work beautifully highlighted health awareness, prevention, and scientific approaches in healthcare. A total of 5 students participated enthusiastically.

🎬 Reel Making Competition
Students also created impactful short videos promoting healthy lifestyle practices and emphasizing the importance of science in everyday health.

👩‍⚖️ Judges
The competitions were evaluated by Ms. Aparna Kawale and Ms. Vaishali Balpande based on creativity, relevance, and presentation.

On 20th February 2026, Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial School of Nursing proudly celebrated the birth anniversary of the great Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with immense respect and devotion.

The programme commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as a mark of tribute. Students delivered inspiring speeches highlighting his bravery, visionary leadership, administrative excellence, and unwavering commitment to Swarajya. His ideals of courage, discipline, justice, and patriotism were beautifully reflected throughout the celebration.

Beautiful welcome dances, group and solo performances, tribute to B. R. Ambedkar, Marathi Lavani, duo songs, and a stunning “GENZES” theme ramp walk made the event vibrant and memorable.

National Youth Day 2026 with Education and Awareness! 🎗️✨
Florence Nightingale Training College of Nursing, a constituent unit of DMIHER (DU), successfully organized an HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme. The session focused on empowering our students with vital knowledge regarding precautions, prevention, and early treatment.
We were honored to have Ms. Rajashri Dhanvij (ICTC Counselor, AVBRH) as our guest speaker. Her insights into ICTC services and the critical role of youth in advocacy were truly impactful.
A special thanks to our Principal, Mrs. Indu Alwadkar, Vice Principal, Ms. Sarika Khadse, and our dedicated faculty for making this event a success. Together, we are building a more informed and compassionate future.
