“Design and Development of IoT-Based Plant Health Management Mechanism for Hydroponics using Machine Learning.”

🌱 This pioneering research develops an intelligent, automated system for real-time plant health management in hydroponics. By integrating IoT sensors, cloud technology, and Machine Learning, the study monitors key parameters such as pH, NPK, temperature, humidity, light intensity, dissolved oxygen, and water flow rate to support accurate prediction of plant growth and yield.

🍅 The research, conducted on Tomato, Lettuce, and Spinach, demonstrates how data-driven technology can optimize growing conditions, nutrient management, water circulation, and lighting—contributing to improved plant health and productivity.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology successfully hosted an insightful guest lecture on "AI in Pediatrics" on 23 July 2026, delivered by Dr. Nilima Thosar, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Sharad Pawar Dental College & Hospital, DMIHER (DU).
The session introduced students to the latest applications of Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry, with a special focus on pediatric dental care. Around 100 students actively participated and gained valuable insights into emerging AI-driven technologies shaping the future of healthcare.

Guest Lecture on "3D Printing in Prosthodontics"

The Department of Prosthodontics, SPDC, organized an insightful guest lecture on "3D Printing in Prosthodontics" for the third-semester students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology under the Techno-Health/Clinical Engineering Initiative on 16th July 2026.

The session was delivered by Dr. Surekha Godbole, Head of the Department of Prosthodontics, SPDC, who shared valuable insights into the latest advancements in 3D printing technology and its transformative applications in the field of prosthodontics. The lecture provided students with an excellent opportunity to understand the integration of engineering and healthcare through cutting-edge digital technologies.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Naresh Naathi, Coordinator, Co-curricular Activities. Around 100 students enthusiastically participated in the session, making it an engaging and interactive learning experience.
